FROM THE COVER:THE HANSON FAMILYMy Y Story is similar to many others. I startedworking out at the Y to improve my overallhealth and fitness. I thought it would be justa really good gym to workout at. Turns out,the Y has been so much more than I expected!

The Y has been a place where I have madelasting friendships, been a part of thecommunity through volunteering, and builtself-confidence. It is a place that reinforces

positivity and personal responsibility.

When I first joined I enjoyed the lifestylecenter and group fitness classes. AlthoughI do enjoy those still today, I have beenable to see how much more the Y offersfor families. With so many choices, mychildren are never bored when we walk inthe door! Activities such as Family Night,Wee classes and Wiggles and Gigglesengage Aubrey and Casey and helpshow them that being active andhealthy is FUN!

While I work and attend collegefull time, we know that Aubreyand Casey are being well cared for

at the Downtown Y childcare. Theamazing staff does more than nurtureand care for them, they invest in them. They are positive role models for

the kids and encourage creativityand individuality. We are trulyblessed to have Aubrey andCasey there!

My Y story isn’t over andthe needs and experiences I have

will continue to change over time.I encourage everyone to build ontheir Y stories. Take advantageof all the Y has to offer andsurprise yourself with all youare capable of! ~ Tanna Hanson
