    Your child will thrive during the

    summer months learning while having

    un! Experienced, highly-qualied

    sta will guide your child who will

    have an opportunity each week to take

    swim lessons and ree swim. Weekly

    eld trips include the Long Beach

    Aquarium, Natural History Museum

    and Los Angeles Zoo.

    Discovery Camp

    Children entering grades K 2

    Your child will develop socialization

    skills and independence through

    age-appropriate activities in a sae,

    nurturing environment. Weekly themes

    are supported by arts and crafs, story

    time, singing, science projects, nature

    walks and board games. Discovery

    campers also enjoy riding tricycles on

    roads to new adventures!

    Adventure Camp

    Children entering grades 3 5

    Your child will enjoy a wider range o

    activities that promote good character

    and positive sel-esteem. Fun weeklythemes and age-appropriate groupings.

    Your child will make new riends,

    playing basketball, parachute games,

    relay races and creating art.

    No camp July 27 31.

    Be a Counselor-in-Training!

    Children entering grades 6 & 7

    Develop leadership and social skills

    that will help you in every area o lie!

    CIs accept the responsibility o being

    a riend and p ositive role model to

    our campers, helping to ensure the

    emotional and physical saety o all

    children at camp. CIs are assigned to

    dierent groups o campers to assist the

    adult counselors in a variety o ways.

    CIs receive a va luable developmental

    experience while having a un and

    rewarding summer. No camp July 2731.

    How to Register

    Registration and payment in ull is due

    two weeks prior to the start o eachsession at the Westside Family YMCA.

    Enjoy swimming, arts, horseback riding,

    archery, photography, hikes, a nature

    lodge with snakes and evenings around

    the campre. Camp Whittle is a place

    where lielong memories are made.

    Camp Whittle activities in Big Bear plus

    lake ront activities, rock climbing, ropescourse and other adventures.

    Camp Whittles traditional camp program

    with a ocus on developing your leader-

    ship skills. Discover how to lead events

    and experience hands-on leadership,

    assisting trained adult YMCA c ounselors.
