Our new Educational Enrichment classes are designed to ease yourchild into a preschool and kindergarten environment. We offer characterdevelopment values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility whileserving to increase self-confidence and independence. Our classes aredesigned to encourage the child's natural curiosity of learning, as well aspromoting fun as they engage in age-appropriate educational activities.Here at the Oswego Family YMCA, our emphasis will be placed ondeveloping the child's method of learning while incorporating variousopportunities to attain success!

Gettin' Messy Join us for some sensory fun! This class will allow your childto explore many different tactics in an everyday environment. We will behaving fun making a mess and getting dirty while we play with finger paints,shaving cream, play dough and more! Best of all, we clean up the mess!

Summertime Fun Join the themed curriculum with books, songs, artand crafts all centered around a seasonal theme. The instructor will alsointroduce letters, numbers, colors, calendar and weather during circle time.Your child is sure to love it!

Pre-K Bootcamp This half-day program is designed to introduce your childto the basic social and academic skills needed for a successful transition tokindergarten. As today'schildren are surrounded by modern technology, spending time in thegreat outdoors can be an eye-opening and rewarding experience.Summer camp allows your child the opportunity to learn new skills,form wonderful relationships with their peers and learn more aboutthemselves.

• Have professionally trained staff with over 40 hours of training,including First Aid, CPR and AED

Camp Hudson

Grades K-5: These campers will enjoy an age-specific themed curriculum,swimming twice per week, a theme-related field trip once a week, and aThursday picnic/cookout at Hudson Park with a special stop at Dairy Hut onthe way home.

*NEW* Tween Camp, Grades 6-8: These campers will enjoy a separateage-specific curriculum while participating in other age-appropriateactivities to help develop leadership skills such as fundraisers, communityservice projects and assisting counselors with leading activities for theyounger campers. Awesome premium field trips such as downtown Chicago,Great America, water parks and professional sports are included in the priceof camp. Baseball/Softball Camp: If your child is interested in learning thefundamentals of baseball or softball, this camp is for them! This camp willintroduce the camper to the basics of baseball or softball, including hitting,running and outfield play.

Dance Camp: Our dance camp will introduce your child to several genresof dance, including jazz, hip-hop, lyrical/modern and ballet. There willbe a chance to showcase what was learned at a mini-recital held at theconclusion of the program.

Volleyball Camp: This camp will focus of the fundamentals of serving,passing, setting and game play. Campers will begin the week with basic skillsand progress towards offense and defense strategy.

Basketball: This camp will give your child an opportunity to developtheir skills, including shooting, passing, offense and defense, using bothdrills and games.

Floor Hockey: This camp is designed to introduce your child to thefundamentals of floor hockey in a safe, controlled environment. Using ourindoor border patrol, your child will learn basic floor hockey skills includingpassing, shooting, positions and goal keeping.

Flag Football: Flag football is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals ofthe game of football in a non-contact environment. This camp will give thecamper experience in plays, executing offense and defense patterns, whileteaching the importance of game play.

Nutrition/Fitness Camp: Experience fitness the fun and exciting way! Thiscamp is designed to help your child get into an active, healthy lifestyle thatwill keep them fit and strong. Your child will participate in various fitnessregimes including yoga, Zumba and boot camps, and learn about healthyeating and living.

SWIM LESSONSLearn to Swim at the Y.

Schedule a fitness consultationtoday for your middle schooler or teen to help them discover what healthand fitness options are available to help them stay active and fit. Freefitness consultations can be scheduled at the membership desk. TheOswgeo Family YMCA also encourages youth ages 8 and up to utilize ourclasses and facility. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

Youth ages 8-9: Allowed in the Wellness Room on cardio equipment onlyduring specific times while supervised on an adjacent machine by a parentor guardian. Also allowed to participate in most group exercise classes whileaccompanied by an adult. Please refer to the membership desk for thosetime frames and classes.

Youth ages 10-11: Allowed in the Wellness Room to use the cardioequipment at any time while supervised by a parent or guardian. Alsoallowed to participate in most group exercise classes while accompanied byan adult.

Youth ages 12-15: Allowed in the Wellness Room at any time after theycomplete a fitness orientation. May also take any group exercise class.

*All youth under the age of 15 are encouraged to complete a fitnessorientation in order to understand facility policies and safe machine usage.
