El GeneralIts been a great start for the blanquiazules, slightly tarnished by themidweek cup defeat. I really have given up with the cup as the teamhas incredibly not won an away cup match in 17 years. Also, how weare always drawn away is open to scepticism as CDT`s last 5 cupgames have all "somehow" been drawn away and incredibly the last 9games involving Canarian teams have all been away ties. Clubs do notlike travelling midweek all the way down here and there appears to be"warm balls" at the Spanish FA.Anyway, no point in moping about we have a lot to look forward to withthis team. Finally after a couple of false starts Luismi Loro is proving tobe a good creative player and what can we say about Aridane? Ithought he was so lazy that he has a smoke alarm in his house with asnooze button, but he has proved me wrong! I nearly said if he scoresmore than 10 goals I will put the last coach of the season on for free(sometimes it´s good to keep your mouth shut).Due to the price of flights a well known member of Armada Sur fromLeicester will not be out until December which is handy as it give ustime to get some points on the board. Fate is a strange thing and playingon loan with Fuerteventura in the TerceraDivision, Suso must have thought his time withCD Tenerife had come to an end.Graduating through local junior sides Susosigned for his home town club AD Laguna andthen moved on to Tercera team Atletic Aronabefore getting spotted by CD Tenerife. The2006-2007 season brought first teamrecognition but mainly as a sub, he took part in23 games only starting in 6 and contributing justone goal. Speedy on the ball Suso tended toplay wide in a season with plenty of competitionfor that role and he was farmed out toFuerteventura.Adding goals to his game Suso hit nine andcaught the eye of a holidaying coach fromHearts, he was snapped up and moved toEdinburgh. At first his aggressive style andshort temper saw him collect bookings butsettling down he became a regular first teamfixture strutting his stuff in the SPL and in theUEFA Cup.It was quite a coup tempting Suso back home,fatherhood has matured him but at just 27 hestill has plenty of fire in his belly, a lightning turnof pace and a never give up attitude.
