El GeneralIt was one of those days last Sunday. Firstly Oviedo suprisingly lost and thenTenerife won away in injury time. Two goal Aridane is back it seems,although Cervera says that Aridane never went away and does the job he isasked to do. With the defence seeming fairly solid, the form of Aridane willgo a long way to see where we finish this season. If others can chip in withgoals, all well and good of course. Guillem, Suso and Luismi can all score,so things look good. Today we welcome CD Leganes to the Heliodoro ateam bang in form and unbeaten since October believe it or not. That recordcan be broken today!The club have been criticised for many things over the last few years, butone thing that they can be applauded for is pricing. Free tickets for childrenand reduced prices for certain matches can only help to generate more fans.Carnival fun today. It used to be crazy in the old days during Carnival timeand back in 1991 against FC Barcelona, I witnessed one of my funniestincidents ever at football. Barca center half Ronald Koeman was approachedduring a pre-match pitch invasion by two guys dressed as women carrying alive pig dressed in a Barcelona shirt with a number 5 on as they thoughtKoeman was the spitting image of a pig. The Dutchman took it well andposed on the pitch with the pig. I wish I could find that photo!

If I hadused those words about Tarantino lastseason I would have been dragged off by themen in white coats, but what a turn around.Last season if there was a yellow or red cardup for grabs our central defender would be atthe front of the queue. This season from thestart Tarantino has been a great leader andtop teacher for young Bruno alongside him.Starting out with the junior ranks of AthleticBilbao Tarantino went on to play in thePrimera for Numancia and later back atBilbao but Tenerife signed him two seasonsago from Albacete. Last season was adisaster for our centre back, 14 yellow cardsand three sendings off made him a liability.We are not sure if he took up yoga andmeditation in the summer, somethingcertainly calmed his hot head.After recently passing 50 games in ourcolours he is on course to be one of theplayers of the season. Normally a stay athome defender, Tarantino tends to let Brunogo up for set pieces and has only scoredonce since joining us, maybe he is savingone for the play offs. Look out for his strongtackles and good awareness in the last thirdof the pitch.
