El GeneralThere will be many "must win" games in the coming months, but today isvery important. If we can win it means I won´t spend Christmas with a"monk on" and we can look forward to an easier run (on paper) to start theNew Year. Manager Calderon has received plenty of stick recently for hisdefensive tactics.CDT have the 3rd best defence in the whole of Spain at professional levelbut we lack up front. New players are on their way to boost our attackingflair, if we can get those signings right we are in for some exciting monthsahead. It looks to me that we have five clubs at the top of the league thatwill be scrapping for the play-offs.Five do not go into four so we have to make sure we beat the top teams athome. Strangely the way the fixtures work out we still have to play all thetop sides at home, so that is our chance to redress the balance.I am collecting names & deposits for the trip to Vecindario on Jan 15th.Details are still sketchy but it looks as if Viajes Ecuador are putting apackage together which will include ferry, transfers, meal and ticket. If youwish to go I need a copy of your DNI (Residencia) and a deposit. Price, all in,will be between 75-85€ (though we have to get to Santa Cruz). The last timewe played at Vecindario we took the lead on 80 minutes only to lose 2-1.I need to resurrect the ghosts of that trip, see us win withstyle to go top of the league!...... Well, we can all dream.

Who Are Ya?Another experienced Segunda B player,Cristobal Juncal Fervenza our steady if notspectacular right back has been punished afew times by young guns with the opposition.For the previous two seasons he has been aregular and valued fixture for dominant Lugoand a key reason they made the promotionplay offs.You certainly couldn’t say that Cristobal isshy of a tackle, he ended his recent return toLugo rolling on the pitch clutching his crownjewels after a close encounter. Bet he won’tbe able to face sprouts this Christmas.Of course all our players have hiddentalents, Cristobal is a keen amateur magicianand can do some pretty nifty card tricks, hecan make them disappear although teammate Luna can always conjure up a fewmore to add to his collection.By play off time Cristobal will be 31, thiscould be his last chance for promotion glory,he has played all his career in Segunda B.
