“May gustoakong ipakitang bago. Hindisexual yung rape kundiemotional.

Kris deserves a break
naughty gay puts it, “Nakilala siKris bilang taklesa sa TV.
Be that as it may, let’s giveKris a break. She still hasn’t ful-ly recovered from the death ofher mom Cory, so she’s still tooemotionally drained to dealwith marital woes. Once upon atime, I was close to Kris becauseshe was an “anak-anakan” ofmy mom and she’s the ninangof my son IC.
That’s why every time she’sembroiled in a scandal, I can’thelp but look back and remem-ber how simple she was andhow uncomplicated her life waswhen she made her first TV ap-pearance as a guest in mymom’s show See-True a fewhours after her own mom be-came President.
Even back then, Kris was al-ready spunky and feisty. Thatsame spunk will see herthrough this tumultuousepisode of her colorful life. Krismay not always be right, butshe’s always real. The wife inher may have lost some prideby confronting Mayen, but shehasn’t lost hope that all will be
well in the domestic front. Justas her late great mom wouldwant it to be.
From AlbertAlbert Martinez wasn’t able
to go to the wake of Tita MilaOcampo, the mom of his ex,Snooky Serna. I have fondmemories of our foursome dateswhen Albert and Snooky werestill a couple and I was the GFof his brother William back dur-ing my high school days.
“I was busy taping my twoteleseryes,” Albert said. “That’swhy I just relayed my condo-lences through a friend.”
Fast-forward to his mother-in-law, Amalia Fuentes, who hasunleashed a mouthful abouthim. What are his sentimentsregarding Tita Nena’s rift withhis wife Liezl? “They will al-ways be mother and daughterso they will always love eachother,” he explained. “It’s just sounfortunate that all this troubleis happening at this time whenLiezl is still recovering from theBig C.”
Are they pushing throughwith their silver wedding an-niversary celebration in Rome?“The trip is on standby becauseI can’t be gone for more thanfive days due to my schedule.”he replied. “We might justspend the actual day in a near-by place.”
Bong-ga!Kudos to Bong Revilla and
the excellent team of Ang Pan-day for being the official topgrosser in the 2009 MetroManila Film fest. It wasn’t easyfor them to spend close to P80million for just one movie. Itwas Bong who insisted that theyspend that much if they wantedto make a landmark film.
“Besides, I had a number ofreasons why I wanted it to bethe best among the Pandayfilms created by the KomiksKing Carlo J. Caparas, whichNinong Ronnie Poe did three se-quels of. It must be a fittingtribute to a King like him.”
Aside from beating them allat the box office, Panday alsobagged seven major awards in-cluding Best Picture and BestActor.

B Y the time this column comes out, the mediafrenzy about Kris Aquino and James Yap’s lat-est marital squabble must already be full-
blown. The political rivals of Kris’ brother, Noynoy, willmilk the issue for all it’s worth while Kris’ camp willexhaust every means of damage control.
Kris knows the danger ofgetting too close to a marriedman because she fell for two(Phillip Salvador and JoeyMarquez), many controversiesago. That’s probably why sheconfronted James’ fan/friend,Mayen Austria. As a wife, Krishas every right to do whatshe did.
Mayen’s version of the sto-ry is that Kris hurled invec-tives at her and badmouthedher mother. On the other
hand, Kris insists that shewasn’t combative at all.
It’s easy to passjudgment on Kris
because we allhave pre-con-ceived notions ofher based on howshe handles her-self and herguests on TV. Butthat would be un-fair. As oneOOOPS...James did it again
