When we talk about ecology, the first colour we think about is green; if we mentionsustainability, we imagine an organised and balanced world. We are aware of the strengthof each word. Nevertheless, how do we put it in practice everyday? The environment isworn out because of humans and it has a permanent mark from our footsteps. We try tosave it by encouraging the ecological way of living. However, the planet itself has its ownsustainability and looks for the ideal balance that allows the evolution. Although theevolution is determined by the global warming. Our goal in our life is that, isn?t it? As adesigner, don?t we search contrasts by swinging from one pole to another in order to getthe eternal balance? We often look for reasons and logical explanations to act consciouslywith the environment? and often the answer can only be found in nature.So, our advice this month is: Let?s follow the intuition of nature and what?s natural andwe?ll achieve an ecological way of living.

We are projecting.. / Roig-Sat

Roig-Sat, one of the most important companiesin technical assistance in Heating and AirConditioning, is one of our new projects with theremodelling of their headquarters. The projectconsists of a cube conceived as a centralpassage, connecting all the departments. Thedesign is in white using materials such as resin,wood and porcelain. The result is a cosy anddynamic atmosphere.Founded in Cerdanyola del Vallès more than 30years ago, Roig-Sat has constantly worked thevalues of excellence and permanent innovation.We are thoroughly enjoying this project becausewe share parts of their philosophy and values.

Born some springs ago, SusannaCots loves being part of this light andbright nature. Her favourite flowersare daisies, anthuriums and whiteroses, because they?re white andthey?ve got nature?s colours, onlyfound in spring.She?s a designer by nature andconviction. She gets involved not justwith the environment but with aparticular conception of the world:organised and pure with materials andcolours. The Urban Garden andCamamilla Design?s new collection?just about to be launched!- are a fewexamples of her creativity. SusannaCots has found a chair in the designworld due to her compromise withfunctionality and order; and she?salways looking for a lasting design.Susanna Cots? projects have beenrecognised by publications as DiseñoInterior, Casa Viva, La Vanguardiaand El País, among others. Moreover,she has taken part in the mostnationally and internationallyprestigious design awards andcompetitions, such as ICFF New York(International Contemporary FurnitureFair), Premis FAD de Barcelona andAndrew Martin?s Interior DesignAwards in London.

The first designs of Camamilla Design collectionare about to come to life. After months of workpreparing drafts, materials and prototypes, thenew models are already in the factory gettingready to be launched next month in an event atPalo Alto (Barcelona).Anxious to get more details?
