filmmaking. Her latest work, Then The Wind Changed, was recently screened in indian capital, New Delhi. The film is about Australia’s worst natural disas-ter, a bushfire in the state of Victoria that claimed 173 lives in 2009.

MELBOURNE, Australia: New South Wales is all set to rock with “King of
Bollywood” Shah Rukh Khan when the ac-tor visits the city to attend the fourth Par-ramasala Festival in October this year.
According to a local daily here, state premier Barry O’Farrell made the announcement July 31 while address-ing the state of western Sydney.
“O’Farrell announced that Shah Rukh Khan will bring his dance moves to this year’s Parramasala Festival in Parramatta,” the reports said.

Employers should be aware of their changing superannuation (super)
obligations over the coming years un-der a range of super reforms, according to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
In a media release, the ATO says, changes to the super guarantee start-ed on 1 July this year and employers must comply with the new laws.
Alison Lendon, ATO Deputy Com-missioner for Superannuation, said the change to the super guarantee rate from nine per cent to 9.25% will apply to all employers from 1 July 2013.
Employers must also start making su-per guarantee contributions to eligible employees who are aged 70 or over.

dreaded villain and lovable character with elan in hits like ‘Milan’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Bobby’, ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Ram Aur Shyam’, passed away at a suburban hos-pital last month at the age of 93.
Bollywood mourned the leg-endary actor hailing him as an icon and a “giant pillar” of Indi-an cinema who shaped the lives of many stars.

This job took him to Shimla, where he played the role of Sita in a local staging of ‘Ramlila’. He happened to meet writer, Wali Mohammad Wali, who worked for producer Dalsukh M. Pancho-li in Lahore. This eventually led to Pran’s entry in the film industry.
After Partition, Pran came to Mumbai with his wife Shukla and sons Arvind and Sunil but found it difficult to get work as an actor in the city of dreams.
Pran had almost given hope when writer Saadat Hasan Man-to helped him get a role in Dev Anand starrer ‘Ziddi’ in 1948 which revived his career. He will be forever remembered for bringing villains on par with the heroes.

The Small Business Superannuation Clear-ing House lets employers pay their su-per contributions in one transaction to a single location. It is designed to make the super payment process easier by re-ducing red tape and compliance costs.
Small businesses simply register their employees’ super fund details and the clearing house will distribute the con-tributions to their various super funds.
“If you have 19 employees or few-er, you can use this free service to pay your super contributions in one trans-action to a single location. There are also a range of commercial clearing houses that can help businesses of all sizes process their super contribu-tions,” Ms Lendon said.

Inspired by cousin Priyanka Chopra’s music, Parineeti Chopra also wants to give it a try.“I have been singing ever since I
was eight months old. Singing is my biggest passion. I’m a trained singer in Hindustani classical music. I hope I’m also able to take it up profes-sionally like Priyanka. If I get a good opportunity, I would definitely grab it,” the 24-year-old said at the trailer launch of her next, Maneesh Shar-ma’s Shuddh Desi Romance.
The actor will be seen locking lips with her co-star Sushant Singh Ra-jput in the film. However, she says she has no qualms about it. “A kiss-ing scene is like any other scene for me. When you are reading a script, a kiss is a part of the story. It goes through seamlessly. You don’t see it as a standalone scene,” she says, adding, “I’d never put a no-kissing clause in my contract, as I don’t want to restrict myself as an actor. If a script demands it, I don’t give it a second thought at all.”
The actor has had her share of link-ups in the industry, but she is unperturbed. “I have been linked to most of my friends – Uday (Chopra), Maneesh (Sharma), Arjun (Kapoor). With them, it’s like I can just call them up and say, ‘listen, tomorrow this news will be in the papers, so just chill’.
“I’d never put a no-kissing clause in my contract, as I don’t want to re-strict myself as an actor. If a script

Filmed predominantly in smoky, dimly lit spaces in what is supposed to be the Pakistani port city of Karachi, D-Day is
cast in the mould of a realistic action thriller. It is also a tale of thwarted love and shat-tered lives, the pathos of which is sought to be underlined by a slew of magnificent songs composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
As a crime drama, it works perfectly well, helped along by some high quality acting by the likes of Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan and Huma Qureshi. The film is completely fictional, but it stays rooted in the geopolitical reality of the subcontinent, allowing itself only the oc-casional shot at dramatic license in order to buoy up the narrative.
Moreover, the undercover RAW opera-tives at the heart of the story aren’t run-of-the-mill Hindi movie heroes given to displays of false machismo in the face of adversity.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag chronicles the life of Indian sprinter Milkha Singh from his childhood to achieving the iconic standing. The film takes you back in time when Milkha lost his family members during
the partition and his rise to the celebrated status without any prescribed guidance or monetary backing.
The film also encapsulates his attachment to his sister [Divya Dutta] and the woman he gave his heart to [Sonam Kapoor]. Also depicted in this 3-hour+ film are the conquests, the lows, the rise to splendour and distinction, the skilful attainment...
Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and writer Prasoon Joshi amass the varied occurrenc-es from the phenom-enon’s life, although the focus is clearly on the documentation of Milkha’s illustri-ous career, his uphill struggle, impedi-ments, apprehensions and eventual triumph.

Madras Cafe is a political action thriller directed by Shoojit Sircar. The main role of an Indian intelligence agent

A sequel to the 2010 film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, the movie takes off from where the
previous film ended with Shoaib Khan (Akshay Kumar) being the reigning don after assassinating his mentor, Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgn) thus earning the respect and reverence of the people.
The original film was about the power struggle between two gangsters but director Milan Luthria has brought in a beautiful woman to create conflict this time.
“I am attempting a love story in the gangster setting. This time it is about matters of the heart. ‘The Dirty Picture’ helped me find a loyal female audi-ence and I wanted to reconnect with them again with the love triangle.”
Milan Luthria has set the sequel on a bigger stage and though he is aware of the risks, the director says it was interesting to take the same story for-ward with new actors.
Luthria admits that it took some time to bring Akshay out of his established image to play a thoroughly evil char-acter in the sequel but he is happy with the results.
Similarly, Luthria has cast Imran against his popular romantic image in the film and he claims the young actor has done full justice to the dramatic role.
Shoaib is the charismatic and suave man with womanizing skills who has extended his empire up to the Mid-dle East. Although the city remains his first love, a rising starlet, Jasmine has caught the fancy of Shoaib’s heart. In due time this passion takes the shape of obsession and leads to a rift be-tween Shoaib and Aslam as they both vie for Jasmine’s love.

Akshara being taken into custody by the In-come Tax Department for interrogation
came as a rude shock to the Singhania family in Yeh-rishta-kya-kehelata-hai.
There was a flicker of hope when Naitik be-lieved Akshara would be released immediately. However, he was told later than she would have to spend more time at the interrogation. Aksha-ra was teary-eyed at the thought of having to spend one entire night away from her family at the interrogation. The officers told Naitik and Shaurya to go home. But Naitik refused to leave Akshara alone and stayed back. It was truly a terrible day for both, Naitik and Akshara. The entire Singhania family was highly upset at this sudden turn of disturbing events.

Vidya Balan took home the Best Actress award at IIFA 2013 for her portrayal of a pregnant
woman in search of her husband in ‘Kahaani’ while Ranbir Kapoor was named Best Actor for ‘Barfi!’ in Macau last month.
While receiving her award from Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya made a special mention of her director Sujoy Ghosh.
Ranbir, who played a deaf-mute boy in ‘Bar-fi!’ was not present at the ceremony and the gong was accepted on his behalf by the film’s director Anurag Basu.
These trophies are the Ranbir and Vidya’s second best actor awards after they bagged the same honours for ‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Dirty Pic-ture’ respectively.

Babasa has put forth a competition in Diya-aur-baati-hum and Emily and Sandhya are the participants in it. Sooraj is certain that his wife
Sandhya will win the competition. He even begins making place for the trophy she will win, in the house. The Rathi home is divided as to who should win. While Babasa sings praises about Sandhya, Bhabho hopes Sandhya will lose the competition.
Winning the competition means a lot to Sandhya, as it will make her biggest dream will become a reality. With her husband Sooraj always by her side, Sandhya is more confident and stronger than ever before! Emily’s husband Mohit is not very supportive and does not encourage her, whereas Sooraj is always encouraging towards his wife. This certainly gives Sandhya the upper hand. We never know when the tables will turn, luck may favour anyone.

There are joyous times that we would wish to frame. Some Star Plus actors were asked to list their favourite moments. This is what each one had to share:
Naitik smiles: “I would like to frame the moment when I proposed to Ni-sha. I did it in full public view, and I was very happy when she accept-ed my proposal. We do have lots of pictures of the same, but the moment she said “Yes” is what I would like to frame.”
Aditya tell us: “I pro-posed to my then girlfriend, at 2 in the morning at Marine Drive. I read out to her, a long poem and was overcome with emotion. I would love to frame this particular moment.”
Kritika says, “I once performed a dance routine in front of 1000 people that was truly joy-ous moment and one I will always cherish.”
Shraddha chirps happily saying “My one year honeymoon holiday period was very frame worthy!”

“Fitness is not only about stay-ing fit physically but also being healthy, which in turn helps me to work efficiently and stay positive with high energy.
“I’m not at all a gym person. And since now I’m much occu-pied with my shooting, I don’t really get time to take any ad-ditional efforts to keep myself in shape. Otherwise, I usually prefer to walk a lot. Walking is the best activity to burn down your calo-ries. 15-20 minutes of cycling is also part of my routine.
Sonarika Bhadoria, who played Parvati in mytholog-
ical drama show “Devon ke Dev Mahadev”, says she had put down her papers three months back, but stayed on when producers promised a salary hike. However, she says when the makers failed to fulfil their promise, they sent her a termination mail, forcing her to bow out.
Her staff informed her there was a new girl on the set who had started shooting. The ter-mination mail and replace-ment news came as a shock for the 20-year-old, but she got over it soon.

An open window to the most important news stories of the day, Nightline at 11:30 PM is a unique day-ender
hard-news show that highlights and encapsulates the day’s happenings for the late night news seeker. The format of the show is flexible - with half an hour of packaged, well format-ted stories that are informative as well as analytical, targeting and meeting the requirements of the urban viewer who often do not get the time or space to browse through the prime news developments of the day.

Breaking up marriages for a quick BuckA Punjabi boy dreams of becoming a Punjabi film
star. He has a pretty girlfriend who is a doctor, and an “accidental” wife who is determined to
get even with him. There is also a sarpanch who is hell-bent on getting people married. Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad (FMGG) seems to have a reasonably sound plot.
The film’s hero, Jassi (Roshan Prince), pulls every trick in the book to make money and act in a film. To achieve that, he takes zippy shortcuts in cahoots with Rambo (an irksome Rana Ranbir) by staging an act, amplifying a bit of drama and breaking up marriages in return for a quick buck. But things go awfully wrong when he lands up at the wrong wedding, that of Geet (Japji Khaira). The story takes a turn, and Jassi finds himself in double trouble, juggling two girls – Geet and Roop (Bhanushree Mehra) – and managing a melee of extras: friends, family, goons and those who’ve hired him to stall their weddings.
PTC Motion Pictures first film, FMGG tries very hard to be funny. While Prince and Khaira try to lift the spir-its, Ranbir and Rana Jung Bahadur (who plays a don called Ghuggi) only add to the nuisance value. In his usual comical avatar, BN Sharma as Pooja is amus-ing, especially when he looks in the mirror, tweezes his moustache and sings, Pooja kiven aa.
Behind every successful film, there are songs, and behind every hit song there is a voice. AajTak brings a new show,
‘SureeliBaat’, where these famous voices from the music in-dustry will share their stories in a one-on-one interaction with host Mala Sekhri, who is also COO, Lifestyle magazines of India Today Group, and Music Today. It is a weekly show which opens with renowned singer Sukhwinder Singh. It is a show that will connect the viewers with the musical ge-niuses of our times. The show will feature singers and musicians across the country such as Kailash Kher, Shaan, KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Usha Uthup, JasbirJassi and Amit Kumar to name a few. Many other luminaries from the music world will be fea-tured in later episodes of the show.

Farhan’s ripped body with the added grace of an Olympic runner has everybody stunned at his transformation. So how
did he do it?The actor ran every morning and main-
tained a strict regime. He says he works out from 6:45 am to 8 am and his whole sched-ule wraps up by 9am.
In the evenings he trained with an Olympian trainer who taught him the nu-ances of professional running.
Farhan’s tips to getting a ripped body:1. Find the right trainer: Farhan
used to exercise on his own. Af-ter a few days, when he saw that he got no results, he realized that he needed a trainer who taught him how to work out for his body type and maximize his results.

2. Maintain a routine: Farhan works out every alternate day for two and half hours. This includes a 45-minute ab workout, followed by different train-ing routines that change once a week.
3. Find a balance: A good balance between your stressors and your leisure time is very import-ant to stick to an exercise regime. It requires your time, but after a while, you will feel like you’re on top of the world!
4. Time management: If you love some-thing enough you will always find the time to do it. He indulges in sports such as foot-ball, volleyball, swimming and running.
5. The right diet: To get that lean athletic look Farhan eliminated ba-sic carbs like roti and rice from his diet. He had five to six small meals –fresh fruit juice, egg white or
scrambled egg for breakfast, a light lunch, a snack of
dried fruits, low-fat diges-tive biscuits and kebabs
(not deep fried) and at around 4 pm
he had a protein shake and din-
ner at 8 pm.
Farhan’s trainer Mel-vin (a trainer for athletes in the Railways),
helped him understand
the physique and training that an ath-lete requires.

IngredIents• Soya Nuggets,soaked 1 1/2 cups• Basmati rice,soaked 1 1/4 cups• Salt to taste • Oil 2 tablespoons• Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon• Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon• Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon• Coriander powder 1 teaspoon• Ginger,grated 1/2 teaspoon• Garam masala powder 1/4 tea-spoon • Tomato,finely chopped 1 medium • Green peas 1/2 cup• Fresh coriander leaves,finely chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons

MethodMix together soya nuggets, 1 cup wa-ter and salt in a bowl and cook in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and sauté till light brown. Drain and add basmati rice and mix. Add turmer-ic powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger, garam masala pow-der and mix well. Add soya nuggets, tomato, salt, green peas, coriander leaves and mix. Add 2½ cups water and mix well. Cover the cooker and cook till 2-3 whistles are given out. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 min-utes.Open the cooker when pressure reduces completely and serve hot.
