The channel foresees the brand posi-

tioning as a celebration and co-relation

with the constant change that society has

seen in women's lives.

"We believe the time is right to infuse

into the brand and reflect an identity that

truly articulates our spirit. The new posi-

tioning is about a celebration and vindica-

tion of woman's emerging beliefs and a

reflection of her hopes, dreams and opti-

mism. This essence is very well captured

in the line, 'Umeed Se Saje Zindagi'," said

Punit Goenka, managing director and CEO

of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited.

"Our primary audience is undoubtedly

women and the new shows will also fo-

cus on them. We intend to bring some

young stories which cater to the youth and

the young girls of today," said Goenka.

The revamping of Zee TV logo has been

done by the in house team of the channel,

while advertising agency Draftfcb Ulka is

the creative agency.

Explaining the new logo, Goenka said:

"The new aqua blue colour logo signifies

the upward movement of desires and

wishes. The unshackling of the 'Z' from

the box symbolizes today's women's zest

for life and confidence to go out in the

world beyond her home.

"The overall design has a progressive

feel and reflects the idea of looking into the

future. The rainbow of hope is a very im-

portant element of the new packaging. It is

ethereal and symbolically emphasizes the

promise of 'Umeed Se Saje Zindagi' cel-

ebrating hope and life," he added.

Zee TV has also worked on the restruc-

turing of its programming and content to

replenish the channel in a new way. The

channel is going to offer its viewers new

shows like " Shobha Somnath Ki" and "

Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein" and also

reality show " India Ke Jaanbaaz", with

real heroes that will make the common man

a superstar.

Revamped Zeeto focus onwomen

After 'Jhansi...',Shobha Somnath Ki

After the success of "Jhansi Ki Rani", Zee

TV is bringing another story of love, sacri-

fice and valour with their new show "Shobha

Somnath Ki."

The show is based on a Gujarati legend

which talks about Shobha, who fought fear-

lessly when Afghan invader Mahmud of

Ghazni tried to destroy the Somnath temple in

the 11th century.

"I had met the writer-director of the show

Vikas Kapoor about three years back. He had

narrated me the story that time and it left a

lasting impression on me. After the success of

'Jhansi Ki Rani', we were planning to make

another show," Sukesh Motwane, program-

ming head, Zee TV said.

"We wanted to make a fairy tale with all

the elements of valour, romance, poetry, ad-

venture, bravery, and fight for cultural identity,

among others, and this story has it all," he

added.

It took Motwane a year to shape up his plans.

"It took us a year to conceptualise the story.

It has been a difficult journey. 'Jhansi…' worked

for us, so we are very lucky. It was far more

recent story and a lot of material was avail-

able for you to fall back on. But there were

very few references for this show.

"During our research, we got books, tried

talking to historians and understand what kind

of the society was at that time. What was the

feeling of people towards Somnath. There are

so many angles to Shobha's story and her life.

Some of the chapters are already mentioned in

the novels," he added.

The makers are also trying to provide a new

visual experience to the viewers.

"The whole context is, can you provide a

new visual experience to the Indian viewers?

Can you provide new storytelling experience?

This show is giving us that chance. There is

action, there is thrill and poetic visual effect,"

Motwane said.

Ekta Kapoor seems to have finally got the script right for protagonists Manav (Sushant

Singh Rajput) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) in Zee TV's top ranked show Pavitra

Rishta post the much-awaited four year leap. After rumours of the lead artistes not

being happy to play parents were floated, the news coming in now is that both have

been given typical glam look post the leap.

According to one source, "Manav who has gotten rich will be seen in a corporate

wear with suits, matching ties etc. Archana on the other hand has got a wardrobe full of

rich sarees and has gone thro a hair make over too".

As per the story line, the source says, "Manav who got involved in an accident got

saved by a rich family, who have now roped him into their construction business. How-

ever, Manav and Archana have gone thro certain problems. After giving birth to her kid,

Archana decides to give away her new born to her sister Varsha (Priya Marathe) who

cannot conceive. Meanwhile, Archana and Manav indulge in taking care of Sachin. Happy

days are back for Dharmesh (Sumit Arora) and Vaishali (Prarthana Behere) who were on the

verge of seeking divorce. They are united once again and are happy. For Archana though,

she gets to spend very little time with her husband as he is busy with work".

The 4 year leap in Pavitra Rishta

Dev-Radhika flee from homeFinally there are some good moments for Dev and Radhika in Chhoti Bahu -

Sawar Ke Rang Rachi which is going thro' some major twists.

A source reveals, "Rohan (Saurav Chakrabarti) is torturing Radhika post

marriage and Dev cannot tolerate his misbehavior towards Radhika.

Therefore due to this misconduct and torture of Rohan, Radhika and

Dev will plan to run away from the house."

It's actually Dev who will plan to kidnap Radhika and take her

away from Rohan. But as Radhika can't bear the truth of

Dev's name getting maligned, she joins hands with Dev

and goes along with him.

"While together, viewers can witness some

good and cozy moments between Radhika

and Dev which will be stretched to four-

five episodes", adds the source.

has been roped into the Cinevistaas' show

which has the working title 'Tumse Hi'. Gaurav

According to a source, "Jayshree plays the

Nani of Arnav Raizada (Barun Sobti) and Anjali

(Daljit Bhanot). She is a very sweet person who

loves her family a lot. However she sets all the

rules in the house and sees to it that all follow the

same".

entry takes place in the Puja sequence which has

Aishwarya Rai is in the family way, says her

father-in-law and Bollywood megastar

Amitabh Bachchan.

"News news news!! I am going to become

a grandfather ...aishwarya expecting ...so

happy and thrilled, (sic)" Amitabh posted on

his Twitter account.

"I am extremely thrilled and, feel so

happy. It's true, Ash is pregnant and

we are all set to welcome the new mem-

ber to our family," said Big B.

Ever since Amitabh posted the message

on the micro blogging site, congratulatory

messages have started pouring in.

Aishwarya, 37, and Abhishek, 35, were

married in 2007 and as soon as they tied

the knot, the rumours of Aishwarya get-

ting pregnant have been making the

found a comfort level with Saif's children.

2011, held on 4th June at Riverside

Parramatta, was a grand success!

The event was organised for the first time

in Australia and the audience did not know

what to expect. However, the people who

attended enjoyed every minute of the show

including the break that was filled with colourful

Bollywood dances, Bhangra and Dhols.

The famed June Dally Watkins, who was

one of four of the judges, said "The event

was very colourful and packed with 4 hours

of non-stop entertainment that was impecca-

Shaitan is the story of a group of friends who live life on the edge.

Amrita Jayshankar a.k.a. Amy (Kalki Koechlin), Karan

Chaudhary a.k.a. KC (Gulshan Devaiya), Zubin (Neil Bhoopalam),

Dushyant Sahu a.k.a. Dash (Shiv Pandit) and Tanya Sharma (Kirti

Kulhari) are friends who are young and ultra-cool. They seek fun

and excitement all the time. And one day, a moment changes every-

thing. Karan is on the wheel of a car in which the friends are having

fun. He is driving recklessly and he accidentally kills two people

under the car.

The five friends are, obviously, terrified. To cover up this one

crime, they commit further crimes. A police officer (Rajkumar

Yadav) gets wind of their involvement in the road accident

and demands Rs. 25 lakh to close the file. The question now

is: from where will they get the money to bribe the police

inspector? Even as they go in hiding and go on committing

crimes to get the money so that they can pay off the police

officer to shut the police case, Inspector Arvind Mathur

(Rajeev Khandelwal) is entrusted with the task of track-

ing the youngsters down. Mathur is himself in the pro-

cess of divorcing his wife.

The original idiot - Bharat Bhushan (Vinay

Pathak) is back after four years to vex

you with his ridiculous whims and fancies.

In 'Bheja Fry 2', Bharat joins a reality show

and is smitten by its sweet and simple pro-

ducer Rajini (Minissha Lamba). On winning

the same, he bags an exotic trip on a cruise

liner where he ends up meeting a woman-

izing business tycoon Ajit Talwar (Kay Kay

Menon).

In case you think that Vinay Pathak and

Kay Kay Menon set the screen on fire with

their wit and repartee, much like Rajat

Kapoor and Vinay in its sequel, you are

bound to be disappointed. In 'Bheja Fry 2',

there is less humor and not many belly

laughs.

Even as 'Bheja Fry 2' looks over

stretched and predictable, Vinay Pathak

holds the fort and immortalizes Bharat

Bhusan with his nerdy, sweet, yet super

annoying act. He is the biggest fool you

will ever come across. Oblivious to all the

disdain, Bharat is eager to show his antics

to one and all. Nevertheless, Vinay's Bharat

act is all endearing.

Apart from Vinay and Kay Kay, there is

hardly any other actor, who gets to utilize

his talents on the silver screen. Minissha

Lamba is just an eye-candy and Suresh

Menon is truly wasted. However, 'Bheja

Fry 2' becomes all the more chaotic with

Raghu Burman's (Amole Gupte) madcap RD

Burman fan act.

Overall, a fun film to watch with your

family and friends!

Kabir (Abhay Deol) has just met Natasha.

Six months later they are engaged. He

wants to go on an extended bachelor party. A

three-week road trip with Imraan (Farhan

Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) - his two

best friends since school. The only problem is

Arjun is too tied up with work. After much emo-

tional blackmail and cajoling the boys set off on

a journey they were meant to take four years

ago.

A fantasy holiday they had planned to take

after college but which never happened. A road

trip where each one gets to do the ultimate

sport of his choice and the other two just have

to do it with him. Whether they want to or not!

Kabir Imraan and Arjun meet up in Barcelona

and set off on an adventure that will not only

make them iron out their differences but also

face their fears, after their perception, unravel

their fabric, force them to break out of the box

and teach them to seize the day.

In other words a holiday that will change

their lives forever.

Apart from Farhan, Hrithik and Abhay

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara also stars Katrina

Kaif, Kalki Koechlin and Ariadna Cabrol as its

female lead. The film is produced by Riteish

Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and is directed

by Zoya Akhtar. The music has been composed

by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

THE CHARACTERS:

Hrithik Roshan: ArjunA financial trader who works at a huge firm

in London. Arjun grew up without a father and

has seen a tough life, his entire focus is to get

bigger better faster. Reluctant to leave work.

He agrees to go on this holiday.

Farhan Akhtar: ImraanA copy writer who works at an advertising

agency in Delhi. Imraan is the bohemian, a

closet poet. He is looking forward to Spain.

Abhay Deol: KabirA wealthy young man who works with his

father's construction company in Mumbai. Kabir

is bright, articulate and polite. Engaged to

Natasha and off on his bachelor trip.

Katrina Kaif: LailaA bohemian fashion student from London.

She takes time off to teach diving every year.

This year in Spain. She meets

up with three young men

from India.

Kalki Koechlin:Natasha

A filthly rich daughter

of a hotelier. She is an inte-

rior designer and in love

with Kabir. She is slightly

nervous about this bachelor

trip.

Amitabh Bachchan is known for his angry man image and he is

back with his angry image yet again after several years. The

gist of the story is that Amitabh has turned old but feels that he is

still young and in order to establish his youngness, he always

lands in trouble. Bbuddha is an action thriller about a hot headed

man.

In the movie, he utters dialogues for his cult films like Agneepath,

Deewar, Don, Shahenshah, and Hum. Bachchan plays a retired

hit-man settled in Paris, who returns to India for one last job.

Amitabh has sung the title track of the film in acapella style,

which means solo or a group singing without any instrumental

sound. Vishal Shekhar has composed the music.

'Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap' has been made jointly by Viacom

18 and AB Corp. It is written and directed by South director Puri

Jagannath.

Just like any Aamir Khan film these days, he is back with a brand

new concept Delhi Belly, which roughly translates to the gastro-

nomical delight, the Diarrhoea. And he has once again managed to

turn heads and get the new-generation go crazy after the release

of the film's anthem of sorts by now Bhaag Bhaag, DK Bose bhaag.

DK Bose is becoming almost a metaphor for college going guys.

Delhi Belly is directed by Abhinay Deo, and stars Aamir's nephew,

Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Poorna Jagannathan, Vir Das,

Shenaz Treasurywala. The film has been given an A-Rating (Adult),

as it contains obscene language and content.

Three flat-mates and buddies Tashi, Arun and Nitin are partners

in crime with Tashi set to get married in a month but still unsure of

his choice of fiancÈ. Arun can't make up his mind whom he wants

to kill first his ex-girlfriend or his stupid, annoying boss whose idea

of creativity is sketching a smiling banana. And Nitin is about to

discover that eating delicious tandoori chicken off a street vendor

is going to give him the worst case of Delhi Belly he's ever known.

When I look back on my life, it's not the

fame that stands out, it's the people I've

met along the way and the nurturing relation-

ships I've had that steal the spotlight. Growing

up, I didn't have wealthy parents with power-

ful connections. But what I did have was a

stable, loving home where my parents doted

on their children and on each other.

And then, stardom happened. The sensitive,

football-loving young man suddenly became a

phenomenon that even he couldn't fathom. Re-

lationships with my childhood friends and fam-

ily became even more valuable because they

kept me grounded in a new world where

money flowed and strangers came up to

me to say that they loved me.

The film industry transformed my

looks - the skinny, aspiring model

morphed into what others perceived

as a 'muscular hunk' - but it did not

change my heart or my character.

While I'm not the type to talk pub-

licly about private matters, I will share

a bit about what I've gone through

the past year. Last year, my dad

was diagnosed with cancer. While

I smiled for the cameras and at-

tended industry events, inside I

was wracked by anxiety and con-

cern for my family's well-being. In

the past, when I experienced per-

sonal betrayals and career set-

backs, I somehow still felt in con-

trol. I felt I could overcome the chal-

lenges even if it pained me to go

through them. But this was entirely

different.

I didn't know if I could be strong

enough for everyone. There were

few whom I allowed to see that vul-

nerable side. While, the strong, dis-

ciplined John Abraham you know is

real, it's only one side of me. The other

side is one who wants their loved ones to

be safe and above all values stability.

My past relationship (with Bipasha Basu) was

beautiful and challenging and everything that a

relationship with someone for several years is

going to be. But people change, interests differ,

and things evolve. There is a time for everything

in life and while I value the time that I spent with

her, it was also time to move on and for each of

us to take our own separate road.

how you will nourish your newborn.

Breast feeding for the first 6 months of life

for healthy term infants is recommended as

breast milk is the optimal food for growth. In-

fants should be introduced to nutrient-rich, solid

foods - with particular attention to iron - at

around six month. Breast feeding can be con-

tinued for up to two years and beyond. If you

do not breastfeed, infant formula is the only

suitable alternative to breast milk up to 6-12

months of age.

Ultimately, how you decide to nourish your

baby is very personal. We encourage you to

make this important decision based on the right

information, advice and support from your

family and your healthcare professional. If

you choose to use infant formula, there

are a variety of formulas that can meet

your baby's nutritional needs.

Passing on good nutritionIt's important to eat right. It's also vital

that you continue to do so while breast

feeding. Just as during pregnancy, through

breast feeling, you'll also be the sole source

afterwards for the nutrients your baby needs

to grow and thrive.

That's why it's good to think about your own

nutrition. Focus on fruit and vegetables and go

for the grains. Maximize milk where you get

your required 1,000 mg of calcium a day, and

pump

up you protein. Supplement sensibly, balance

your calories and choose

beverages wisely. Also it

is commonly considered,

that there is no safe limit

to alcohol consumption

during pregnancy.It's important to eat right. It's also vital that you continue to do so while breast

feeding. Just as during pregnancy, through breast feeling, you'll also be the

MANGO MARGARITAA refreshing mango drinkINGREDIENTS

• Mangoes, peeled and cut into pieces4 small

• Mango squash 1 cup

• Ice cubes as required

• Lemon juice 3 tablespoons

• Salt as required

METHODPut the mango pieces in a blender and blend for a

minute.Add mango squash, ice cubes, two tablespoons

lemon juice and blend it again for two to three minutes.

Apply the remaining lemon juice to the rims of glasses

and dip the rims in a plate of salt and remove. Pour the

margarita into the glasses and serve immediately.

SWEET MANGO CHUTNEYA tasty mango chutney - a must try

INGREDIENTS

• Mango , slightly under ripe,

peeled, thinly sliced900 grams

• Sugar 900 grams

• Garlic, chopped 1-2 cloves

• Ginger, chopped 1/2 inch piece

• Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

• Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

• Vinegar 1/4 teaspoon

• Salt to taste

METHODHeat the mango slices in a pan with small amount of water to

make them soft. Add the sugar and mix well.

Tie garlic, ginger, red chilli powder and garam

masala powder loosely in a muslin

cloth and place in the pan.

Mix well and cook, on medium heat,

till it reaches a jam consistency.

Add vinegar, salt and cook for five minutes.

Remove the spice bag, cool and store the

chutney in sterilised glass bottles.

MANGO KULFIRefreshing kulfi made frommangoes

INGREDIENTS

Alphonso mangoes, halved 4

Milk 1 litre

Khoya/mawa, grated 5-6 tablespoons

Condensed milk 1/2 cup

Sugar 1/4 cup

METHODScoop the flesh out of the mangoes and puree.

Boil the milk and reduce it. Add khoya and mix well.

Add the condensed milk, sugar and mix well. Sim-

mer the mixture for fifteen minutes or till it thickens.

Cool and add the mango puree and mix well. Pour

into mango shells, cover with the sliced off top

and freeze till set. Slice and serve chilled.

is important for good skin. I use a

cleansing cream and gel to clean. I

avoid make-up when not working.

It allows my skin to breathe.

to take care of my skin and hair.

Hair Care

I use a pack of yoghurt, amla

juice and methi to keep my hair

strong and smooth. I oil my hair at

least once a month and wash it

every two days. I do feel that one

should avoid ironing and colouring

one's hair as the hair gets dam-

aged. I use L'Oreal hair products.

Skin Care

For skin I use La Mer. I go for

skin exfoliation once a month and

always keep a face wash handy. I

believe that you need to feel good

about yourself and the radiance

will show on your face.
