Dear Friends, I recently heard someone say that we need to stop wor- rying about the church’s future, and start worrying about the church’s mission. How true that statement is! Here at BKCC, our mission comes from Micah 6:8, and has three parts: 1. To seek justice: to work to make sure that all peo-  ple share in God’s blessings 2. To lov e kindness: to choo se to love every person, recognizing all people as children of God 3. To walk humbly with God: to recognize t hat God is infinitely more than any person can describe or un- derstand, and to commit ourselves to a lifelong  journey of spiritual growth. In 2011, we are embarking on some new programs that will help us fulfill our mission: The Treasure Box Chalice Chat Bible Study P.R.A.Y. Youth Curriculum Activities that will continue in 2011, like our fellow- ship groups, worship and wonder, prayer group, out- reach activities, and music ministry, will also help us fulfill our mission. Churches that worry abo ut their future are often churches that have lost their mission. As we focus on our mission, I think we will find that our church is growing stronger. Finally, the one activity that holds everything else to- gether is Sunday worship. I look forward to seeing you Sunday! Dear Friends,I recently heard someone say that we need to stop wor-rying about the church’s future, and start worryingabout the church’s mission. How true that statement is!

Here at BKCC, our mission comes from Micah 6:8, andhas three parts:

1. To seek justice: to work to make sure that all peo- ple share in God’s blessings

2. To love kindness: to choose to love every person, recognizing all people as children of God

3. To walk humbly with God: to recognize that God isinfinitely more than any person can describe or un-derstand, and to commit ourselves to a lifelong journey of spiritual growth.

In 2011, we are embarking on some new programs thatwill help us fulfill our mission:

● The Treasure Box● Chalice Chat Bible Study

● P.R.A.Y. Youth Curriculum

Activities that will continue in 2011, like our fellow-ship groups, worship and wonder, prayer group, out-reach activities, and music ministry, will also help usfulfill our mission. Churches that worry about their future are often churches that have lost their mission. As we focus on our mission, I think we will find thatour church is growing stronger.

Finally, the one activity that holds everything else to-gether is Sunday worship. I look forward to seeing youSunday!
