JULY 2019 GRASSTREE GM SUMMARYHighlightsSafety Reset Completed• Strong participation and engagement from all crews and

contractors.• Good feedback and improvement opportunities.Gas Drainage• Compliance achieved for MG and TG of 808 panels• Drilling and drainage plan in front of full block forecast.

Longwall Production in front of Forecast• Production ahead of schedule for the month• Longwall rundown running on plan

onli nfi a I

Lowlights

Safety Performance• 1 x Lost Time Injury — CMW struck head on 1T stone dust bag.• 5 x HPI's reported• 2 x HPH's reported

Development Production Below Forecast• Development behind by 154m for the month• Slipped 3 x days against MOP 7 schedule(Does not impact 808 start up but flows onto MG910 delivery)

Grasstree Carbon Emission Tracking• Less efficient venting strategy to mitigate LW gas delays have

resulted in higher CH4 venting direct to atmosphere (greater useof venturis)

-1=1- Emerging Issues

Critical Role Vacancies: Attraction and Retention of critical rolesthrough to the end of mine life.• Current Positions Vacant: 15 critical roles• Mean Time to fill position: approx. 80 days

Longwall Move Preparedness• All equipment onsite and ready for transportation• Schedule developed and getting reviewed and updated daily.

Capcoal Village capacity constraints / Action Plan• Overflow requirements (Aug-Dec) max capacity 122% in Oct• Fatigue Action Plan for Q3 (incl. Dashboard)• Budget associated with Fatigue provisions

Key Priorities

Safety Drive: Continue SafeStart and complete in 03

Longwall Move planning and execution• Planning well advanced• Detailed interaction management required with complexity

around multiple concentrated activities

808 Gateroad Completion• Deliver fit for purpose gateroad — longwall ready• Integration of pre-install, development and installation activities• Efficient demobilisation and restablishment of development

Critical Control Deficiency /

ImprovementIssues / Comment Response

1. Stone dusting LW909TG 30% Pass rate for June LW909 Belt Road 70% Pass rate for June

All failures are re-dusted within the time frames required by procedures. Increased stone dusting application triggered by the high failure rate due to this critical control. Ongoing

2. Real time gas monitoring

Gas monitor inbye the last open cut through of the longwall was found to be not relocated each pillar move as required under the SHMS. The paperwork and instructions were given, but not executed by the relevant electrical coordinator.

Sensor moved to correct position and CMW counselled. Complete

3. Design and Selection of Fit-For Purpose scaffold

3x separate scaffolding setups inspected, all were compliant (Scafftags etc) except 2x did not have JSA’s in place as required under the SOP

Action raised to resolveComplete

4. Fit for purpose equipment Hydraulic

Found 3x minor non-conformances to MOP 1. Some refurbished Cyl returned to site with steel caps instead of plastic, 2. Recently delivered to site hosing left in sun 3. Audited hosing did not identify test pressure on ID tag

Action raised to follow up all 3Ongoing

5. Register of Confined Spaces and Permit to Enter

GMF002 confined space task No rescue plan in place on the permit or on the JSA, no sign off on completion by the Permit issuer. The usual rescue plan was in place but not documented.

The procedure has been reviewed with persons allocating and supervising this work. Complete

LW808 RAMP UP

8

Pre ramp up start • Full Compatibility and testing of electrical circuits during

compatibility• Mechanical and electrical trades allocated to the

compatibility for 2 weeks during compatibility • Clear testing process during compatibility based on

learning from LW909 ramp up• Picks in coal document updated for short comings in ramp

up LW909 • 1-5 shear commission completed prior to first coal• A formal compatibility has being conducted to review the

re-hand works, and a detailed testing plan is in place to provide certainty around equipment performance

First week • Single maintenance window after first shear

Weeks 2-5 • Business as usual

Gas Drainage• Conservative start up plan for LW808 with 50m spaced

holes for the first 250m of retreat• Floor drainage implemented• HGH drainage implemented• All inseam goaf drainage ranges are located in intake

airways allowing for regular access and maintenance regime.
