INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IS

A FANTASTIC LEVER FOR GROWTH

INTERVIEW WITH

ACTIVITY REPORT 20144

WHAT IS YOUR VIEW OF EGIS’ PERFORMANCE IN 2014?

Last year we encountered a sudden drop in the French market and a harsher economic environment which affected some of our markets such as water, urban planning and landscaping. However, the positive momentum of the group’s activities abroad, coupled with the encouraging results of our Project Structuring – Operation division helped to deliver stable managed turnover, at 854 million euros. Our overall performance remains healthy and solid, and in 2015 we should return to profit and cash flow generation, with an order book which has stayed up at 20 months of business activity.

WITH A SLOWING FRENCH MARKET, DOES YOUR GROUP INTEND TO EXPAND ITS INTER NATIONAL FOOTPRINT?

Absolutely. With markets in France contracting, international development is a strategic priority for Egis and a fantastic lever for growth. In 2014 we rationalised our network of subsidiaries abroad and integrated new companies which capitalise on our skills on local markets. In 2015, we are continuing to work on developing and improving our profitability by focussing our efforts on the markets with the most potential and searching for new growth opportunities all over the world, where economic growth is the most buoyant.

MANY PEOPLE CONSIDER THAT EMERGING ECONOMIES ARE THE NEW CENTRE OF GRAVITY FOR GROWTH. DO YOU AGREE?

Yes I do, and this was clearly proven last year when our contracts in these countries blossomed. Our positions in Brazil, India and the Middle East which are the most promising development hubs, helped us to pull off some noteworthy achievements. To give just one example, in the space of three years the Group has recorded spectacular growth in the Gulf economies, generating turnover in 2014 of 60 million euros or 7% of its overall sales, and up 84% compared to 2013. Our successes in Qatar and Saudi Arabia are a great springboard to foster growth in other countries in the region. In the longer term, Egis intends to take advantage of its wellestablished local footprint to extend its activities in the wider Middle East. And let’s not forget major countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America where there are considerable needs for infrastructure and construction and where Egis can easily promote its extensive spectrum of services and skills.

AND WHAT ABOUT FRANCE?

Our references in France remain fundamental to impose our credibility outside of our borders and sell our French technical prowess - I would even say specificity - which our clients all over the world appreciate so much. We are therefore extremely motivated by the opportunities that the French market still has to offer. For example, we are going to be spending a great many years to come working on the Grand Paris, the largest project in the Paris region and where the works to be accomplished will literally transform the region. The ITER

project in Cadarache (South of France) also features among the most ambitious and innovative programmes in our country. We have been contributing to this project since 2011 and the potential consequences that it represents have

captured everyone’s imagination! And I could also point to the high valued added projects of the Marseille L2 orbital road, the Rennes metro line B, the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, the Picasso museum in Paris and the services that Egis provides in digital development across France.

WHAT ARE EGIS’ ASSETS THAT CAN HELP TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF 2015?

Our assets are solid because they are tailored to meet the needs of our markets today: an already wellestablished international presence, a deeprooted culture of innovation, a strong capability in all areas of sustainable development, a wide range of services which combine the knowhow of engineering with skills in project structuring, operations and mobility services. What these assets have in common is

that they draw on the fantastic pool of talent embodied by our employees all around the world. The deployment of this talent, in an everincreasingly crossdisciplinary, open and international context, is something that enables us to look to the future with confidence.

OUR POSITIONS IN BRAZIL, INDIA AND THE MIDDLE EAST ARE THE MOST PROMISING DEVELOPMENT HUBS.

WE ARE THEREFORE EXTREMELY MOTIVATED BY THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT THE FRENCH MARKET STILL HAS TO OFFER.

DRAW ON THE FANTASTIC POOL OF TALENT EMBODIED BY OUR EMPLOYEES ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

In 2014, the Group recorded managed turnover of €854 million compared to €881 million in 2013, representing a 3% dip. Despite a slight decline, this turnover remains satisfactory, given the caution demonstrated by players in many markets and the persistently challenging economic environment, particularly in France.

53% of turnover was generated outside France, as against to 49% in the previous year.

The balance of turnover made respectively by France and International thus tipped in favour of the latter, which is consistent with our strategic aim to go where the growth is.

The Group’s order book represented slightly more than 20 months of activity and has been increasing since 2012.

Net profit (Group share) amounted to €36.9 million, €1.4 million less than in 2013.

ACTIVITY REPORT 2014 7

International business, a lever for growth

With an active presence across the entire globe, Egis generated more than half of its 2014 turnover outside its domestic borders. 47% of its engineering headcount is now based abroad. Whilst consolidating its business and historical roots in France, our Group steadily continues to roll out its international development strategy, capitalising on solid references in a great many countries.

LENC, A SIGNIFICANT ACQUISITION IN BRAZIL

In 2014, Egis acquired Lenc, a Brazilian engineering firm listed among the country’s top 25. With its 450 multi-skilled employees, Lenc is active mainly in the fields of road building and the environment. The company also owns a comprehensive and nationallyacclaimed materials testing laboratory and possesses several geotechnical surveying facilities.

This new acquisition allows Egis to become one of the foremost engineering firms in Brazil, offering a comprehensive range of services in urban development and multimodal transport.

Headquartered in São Paulo and with several specialist subsidiaries in Brazil, Egis’ business in the country comes from three of its major services: consulting, engineering and operation. Traditionally active in the fields of roads, railways and airport management, we are also closely monitoring the opportunities that the country has to offer in the areas of buildings, energy and wastewater treatment.

We are particularly wellestablished in large world regions such as Brazil, the Middle East and India, where economic and demographic growth is particularly strong. We continue to build close ties with clients and partners everywhere that the Group has a presence. Operating at the heart of local cultures and their daily lives, Egis stands out as a local player, capable of designing and implementing solutions adapted to the specific needs of

its clients. By developing and diversifying our activities at the heart of large international regions, we have reinforced our leadership on every one of our markets. Egis is thus keen to continuously enhance the accessibility and force of attraction of regions and to equip countries with the bestsuited infrastructure in the wide and varied areas of roads, railways, aviation and water.

ACTIVITY REPORT 20148

FROM INDIA TO THE MIDDLE EAST

ON THE ROAD, AGAIN

In addition to its engineering activities, Egis has developed unique expertise in Project Structuring – Operation through the development and management of complex transport infrastructure projects abroad. In the Philippines where we are active, we signed a contract in 2014 for the supply and installation of motorway operation facilities on the motorway running between Daang Hari and the South Luzon Expressway.Egis also reaffirmed its leadership on the road operation and maintenance market in Ireland, with the renewal and extension of the Dublin Tunnel operation and maintenance contract. This comprises toll collection, traffic and safety management, and the routine maintenance of the tunnel. Signed for a period of 6 years with an optional 4year extension, the contract extends to the operation and maintenance of the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and of the motorway traffic control centre.

Riyadh metro, Saudi Arabia

In line with our worldwide development strategy, we worked all year to increase our business activities in India, second only to France in terms of headcount, with 1,600 employees (or 13% of the total workforce). With 20 years of experience in the country, Egis is acknowledged as one of the leading players in India in the areas of roads, railways, water, ports, airports, buildings and urban development. Our ambition is to become over the next ten years one of the three leading suppliers of global solutions in India for infrastructure engineering and project management. Among our leading references feature the definition of a master plan for the city of Mumbai, the metro projects in Chennai and Kochi, the water supply programmes in Rajasthan and the crossborder motorway running between India, Myanmar and Thailand.

Egis plays a role at the heart of largescale projects in the Middle East, where the Group recorded its highest growth in 2014, with turnover up 84% on the previous year. At the end of 2014, Egis employed no fewer than 300 people in this region. Qatar accounts for nearly 50% of our business in the Middle East, followed by Saudi Arabia (around a third) then Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Urban transit and metros are currently Egis’ core business of in the Middle East; the Group is taking part in the construction of the metros of Doha in Qatar and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Egis is also wellestablished in the roads and airports sector with, amongst other projects, the extension of Riyadh airport, or in urban projects which offer us the chance to demonstrate the variety of our expertise in designing modern cities. Finally, we remain attentive to building projects and renewable energy, fields in which the Gulf countries aim to develop quickly.

2014 was also marked by the expansion of the Group’s footprint in Algeria, with headline projects such as the EastWest motorway which continues to draw on all of Egis’ skill sets. The Group was awarded with a general study to introduce tolling on this major highway crossing the country, running 1,200 km between Tunisia and Morocco. Other related projects on which we are providing construction supervision and inspection services are the motorways connecting the EastWest motorway respectively with the port of DjenDjen (Jijel) running 110 km, and with the port of Ghazaouet, running 41 km. In the field of tertiary buildings, we have been awarded complex projects such as the iconic Baraki stadium in Algiers, the renovation of the grandstands in the 5Juillet stadium in Algiers and the project management consultancy for the National Security Hospital, also in the capital. 5-Juillet Stadium in Algiers, Algeria

ACTIVITY REPORT 2014 9

Digital is already conspicuously present in the construction industry and is continuing to transform the way we work, design and manage projects. As a result, the arrival of building and all other infrastructure in the digital era constitutes a major challenge for Egis, just as it does for all players in construction who are keen to embody the modernisation of the sector.

Egis places innovation at the heart of its development and growth strategy. All year round, Egis promotes creative thinking and individual or collective initiative by espousing an integrated and open approach to innovation. Egis thus strives to anticipate and understand the increasingly diverse needs of the market, closely analyse technological change, capitalise on knowledge, experiment new techniques, develop unprecedented products and services, etc.

BIM OR NOT BIM?

Mastering digital applied to construction is a condition of success for our business in the global competitive environment. This is why Egis has made Building Information Modelling, or BIM, its standard production process for the execution of the projects that it is awarded. Egis provides its clients with operating, maintenance and asset management data and sometimes even the applications that it needs. Under our label BIM by Egis, a great many major projects have already benefited from our expertise in BIM digital modelling. This is the case, for example, for projects relating to Grand Paris, the Rennes metro, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Sud Europe Atlantique highspeed line and the Doha expressways project in Qatar.

Our clients are increasingly asking to use BIM. Respon-ding to this requirement is

a major challenge for Egis, which uses BIM at all echelons of its activities. In an approach of innovation and progress, we strive to develop applications for digital modelling throughout the entire life cy-cle of structures. Egis also plays a part in research networks and programmes and contributes to structuring exchanges of information, defining a standardised data model and specifying collaborative platforms for use by all actors in construction.

Christophe CastaingProject director, BIM by Egis

Accelerating transitions through innovation

ACTIVITY REPORT 201410

A great many of our innovations display complementarity between the functional performance of structures and the preservation of biodiversity. Our virtual mapping tool Bat3Data plays a key role in the protection of bat species to monitor and protect them.

Similarly, to ensure that river environments continue to thrive, Egis has developed an operational modelling tool adapted to the design of fish passes (Fishway 3D). Thanks to this three dimensional mathematical model, our employees can calculate the performance of our structures and developments according to the target species.

THINK BIODIVERSITY

As a leading player in the ecology and energy transition (EET), Egis constantly aims to highlight sustainable value in each of the projects it conducts. And as it relates to all of our fields of expertise, the EET lies at the heart of our avenues for improvement. As part of our research and development activities, our mission is to add impetus to this transition by proposing new economic models based on innovation, digital and lowconsumption.

USING ENERGY RIGHT

Egis has designed e-portfolio, a userfriendly IT solution to assist real estate management professionals with the strategic and operational conduct of their global energy transition programmes. This innovation makes it easier to collect the energy data relating to a property portfolio, approve its performances and plan improvement work.

In addition, Egis is the brain behind Clip’n Clim, an active Plug & Play module, which can be fitted onto a façade, allowing it to perform smart climate control for the building. Developed in 2014, this concept is one of the seven winning entries in the call for projects launched by Habitat Toulouse, “Dwelling of the 3rd Millennium”. Clip’n Clim is decentralised, modular and compact. It is easy to install and guarantees the quality of air and comfortable indoor conditions through a dual-flow ventilation system and heating using integrated radiant panels.

FROM DIGITAL MODEL TO ENERGY MODEL

At the crossroads of the digital and energy transitions that are transforming the building world, Egis has developed the digital energy model. This is a tool which aims to accurately assess the energy performance of a building on the basis of an integrated digital model and assembled using an international exchange format, “green building xml”.

The digital energy model calculates the energy added, lost and consumed and performs regulatory calculations and the sizing of aeraulic and hydraulic systems. It thus offers a host of benefits, such as time savings on data input, perfect consistency between studies, the production of detailed energy footprint reports and energy simulations to help design low energy buildings.

ACTIVITY REPORT 2014 11

Similarly, our teams design innovative concepts for sustainable mobility management at the centre of urban environments.

With BNV Mobility, Egis thus proposes a solution to reduce traffic during rush hour by making drivers accountable for their journey through an attractive award programme. The city centre parking policy revolves around harmonising prices between street parking and sheltered parking, a rotation of residents’ vehicles and more conscientious payment of parking charges. This regulation lever aims to reduce urban congestion and pollution (GHGs and fine particulates). Payment is verified using an efficient mobile inspection system (automatic registration plate readers) or reliable sensors in the city centre (nanoradar / electromagnetics).

Moov&Park optimises urban parking by providing the user with a navigation aid in the form of the automatic and real time acquisition of parking space availabilities or access to multimodal transport solutions (bikes, car sharing, public transport, etc.).

BikeU is a turnkey solution developed in Poland which encourages soft mobility in the city centre by promoting the use of selfhire bikes.

To enhance its infrastructure asset management activities, in 2014 Egis acquired eMash, a firm specialising in the development, customisation, integration and maintenance of asset management software solutions. Rechristened Egis Asset Management Solutions (EAMS), this new Egis entity develops a comprehensive range of services allowing contracting authorities to preserve, capitalise on and monitor the performance of their assets: processing of measurements and inspection data, simulation, decisionmaking aids for developing major maintenance and renewal programmes, dynamic route maps, interactive mapping, etc.

EGIS ASSET MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

PROMOTING SMART AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

As an operator of urban intelligence in all its forms, Egis pioneers new and innovative mobility services.

Under the Easytrip brand, Egis develops high added value services for the mobility of road users, whether personal or corporate. From improving traffic flow (electronic toll collection) and access to parking (smart parking) to transactions (fuel payment cards) and electric mobility (KiWhi Pass to recharge electric vehicles), the services offered by Easytrip reflect our ambition to provide the best possible road experience to vehicle users. Easytrip aims to become the

European leader in services for road mobility for all types

of vehicle. Our solutions’ objective is to make roads easy for users, whether indi-viduals or companies. The integration of KiWhi Pass in our range in 2014 is a real asset because it is an innovative service, well-managed from A to Z, in the field of the electric vehicle. This is essential when you consider how usage is current-ly changing in the field of sustainable mobility.

Emmanuel MICHAUXChief Executive Officer,

Egis Easytrip Services

To develop our range of services relating to the smart city, we always start off from

the region and its expectations. We reason along the entire infrastructure value chain, excluding construction, by researching tailored solutions which on the one hand give users a better experience of the city and on the other hand help regions to manage it better.

2014 FIDIC OUTSTANDING PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR THE JACQUES CHABAN-DELMAS BRIDGE, BORDEAUX

EGIS DISTINGUISHED

2014 FRENCH NATIONAL ENGINEERING AWARD FOR THE PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS. CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT AWARD.

Pierre Bock, the director of complex structures for Egis’ Industries division, and Hervé Maurer, the technical director of the Buildings division, are the big winners of this prestigious award which distinguishes a work of exceptional technical prowess. With its bold architecture, the work of Jean Nouvel, and its immersive symphonic auditorium, the Philharmonie de Paris received the benefit of unparal-leled technical expertise. Responsible for the overall programme and construction management, Egis conducted the engineering for the fluids and structure lots before overseeing the construction work. Our teams rose to the challenges of the vibratory behaviour of structures, acoustic performance and the integration of hydraulic networks: a range of highly complex subjects which were incorporated in the first virtual simulations of the building carried out using BIM digital modelling.

2014 BUSINESSES AND ENVIRONMENT AWARD IN THE BIODIVERSITY AND BUSINESSES CATEGORY

Egis won the Judges’ Special Award for its virtual bat trajectory mapping tool, Bat3Data. This solution analyses the bat populations and their 3D trajectories on a given site, differentiating between species and flights of each individual detected. The tool offers both preventative measures against the risk of collisions and ecodesign measures for future infrastructure projects. It has been in operation since 2013 and has been tested with success on a range of infrastructure, such as the A406 south Mâcon bypass and the A65 motorway between Langon and Pau (France). Its fields of application are wide and varied: impact assessments, environment management plans (natural or urban), environmental observatories, etc.

Hervé MAURERTechnical Director,

in Egis Buildings division

This assignment brought us to simultaneously deal with three technical areas; struc-

ture, acoustics and fluids. In the specific case of the suspended balconies, the air conduits had to be encased within this complex structure and the air flow rate had to be reduced so as not to make any noise, meaning that their diameters were wider than usual. To display a compre-hensive view of the building, we used digital modelling which succeeded in convincing our counterparts of the project’s feasibility.

Hippolyte Pouchelle, an environmental engineer at Egis, receives the award from Ségolène Royal, Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy

The FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) singled out the Jacques ChabanDelmas Bridge in Bordeaux for its award. Our teams specialising in civil engineering for bridges contributed all of their knowhow to the completion of this striking project. Both a bridge and a piece of machinery, this vertical lift bridge with its pylons 77m in height is capable of lifting its 2,500tonne deck 53 metres above the River Garonne, opening up the estuary access to cruise ships and large yachts.Architect: Lavigne & Cheron Architectes

ACTIVITY REPORT 2014 13

Egis has established the main orientations of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy in a new road map, whose commitments are scheduled to run up until 2017. The systematic consideration of sustainable development in projects awarded to the Group reflects its desire to make it a genuine differentiating factor in the eyes of its clients. It is also a strategic lever to create value, which enhances both the force of attraction of regions and the competi-tive advantage of the company and the well-being of its employees.

CSR at the heart of our DNA

In continuation of its policy of professional-isation and openness to stakeholders, Egis has continued to pursue its efforts to:

• Offer its clients and partners innovative solutions which protect the environment and respect the surrounding populations.

• Disseminate the principles of sustainable development throughout its business lines and among all of its teams by introducing new practices in its management system such as the publication of a new code of ethics or the formalisation of its health and safety policy.

• Assert its local implantation by constantly increasing the involvement of all of its stakeholders, in order to take account of the needs of all of them and the economic, environmental and social issues at stake.

• Consolidate its non-financial reporting under its duty of transparency towards its peers and of the issues raised by them relating to the principle of materiality.

ECOLOGY AND ENERGY TRANSITION: A SOURCE OF INNOVATION

2014: EGIS’ INITIATIVES IN CSR

In this perspective, Egis has grasped the importance of being an accelerator for the ecology and energy transitions by offering a wideranging and comprehensive service offering which takes into account the sustainable development added value in projects throughout their life cycle. The Group is today capable of

designing and implementing specific and even unique solutions for cities and regions to meet the big challenges of the century. It draws on the skills and talent of its employees, its multidisciplinary and complementary subsidiaries, its international development and its clearlystated sustainable development culture.

To accelerate the integration of CSR at every level and in every area of the company, the Group designed a maturity matrix, introduced to supervise the deployment of the CSR approach. It crossreferences an assessment of management processes with an analysis of CSR issues in our markets. The results are then matched up with the CSR issues of the group which are considered to be a priority (or “material”) by our stakeholders. Throughout the year, Egis pursued dialogue with stakeholders, starting up

new R&D partnerships and collaborative programmes. The Group also became involved in events and actions related to Paris Climat 2015 by contributing to the creation of the web platform “Climate Solutions Hub” which publishes a selection of identified solutions to reduce climate change or adapt to it. Egis presents its own solutions on the hub. Finally, new employee safety and protection measures and ethics rules were also incorporated into the group’s management system.

Engineers, technicians, project managers, Business developpers, legal advisors, consultants… With their incredible diversity, all stand out through their track record, motivation and talent, making them genuine ambassadors of the Egis brand throughout the world.

AGILE AND RESPONSIVE

With a growing number of contracts won outside French borders and to fulfil the increasing demands of clients, in 2014 Egis stepped up its efforts to develop and reinforce the skills of its employees.

With projects becoming more complex and the global environment evolving faster than ever, Egis is duty bound to remain a flexible and agile company, capable of adapting at all times to new restrictions, conditions and needs which are prevalent on the market today.

Egis has introduced a corporate university, Egis Campus, and is putting its weight behind training and education to help its employees progress. This training enables employees to build their own personal advancement path, from acquiring toplevel commercial and managerial skills to gaining new and cutting edge technical knowledge. The Group has also continued to deploy other forms of learning such as elearning, tutoring or mentor programmes.

Employees: our most valuable resource

ACTIVITY REPORT 201416

OPEN

There are a host of career opportunities available within the Group, which attaches considerable importance to its employees’ wellbeing and career paths by listening closely to their needs and engaging with them in positive and constructive dialogue.

In 2014, information meetings entitled “My Parcours with Egis” were held throughout France to present the multitude of career path (parcours) opportunities in the Group as well as the bridges possible between its different job functions. The policy enacted in 2014 resulted in greater professional and geographical mobility inside the Group (+35%).

Looking to the future, in 2014 Egis also updated the mapping of its main job areas in relation to the evolution in its activities and the orientations of its markets. The objective is to anticipate as much as possible the possible impacts in terms of employment and skills, and any corrective action to be taken.

The way we manage em-ployment has experienced a turnaround in the past two

years: the workload has decreased in France, whereas our international or-der book has grown considerably. We nonetheless have considerable require-ments in France in some sectors, and in others we are under-employed. Our poli-cies aim to adjust the skills of our people in line with market changes and support functional and geographic mobility. Mo-bility in 2014 was substantially up on the previous year, for employees in both French and international subsidiaries. The examples of bridges between jobs are many and varied within the Group: for example, around twenty people who used to work on the design of traditional railway lines have been reskilled to work on underground projects or acquire knowledge in systems. These career changes require adaptation, but they enable employees to secure their job perspectives by developing their technical polyvalence.

Frédéric PérinHuman Resources Director, Egis

RESPONSIBILITY AND PROGRESS

Egis acts as a responsible employer by promoting sustainable and stable employment and by helping its employees to develop their careers.

Egis continues to hold a resolute policy in favour of balance and diversity. It aims to promote the recruitment of under30s whilst valuing the experience of more senior employees. Through a range of actions such as mentoring, Egis also aims to develop greater balance in managerial positions. Egis has also developed a policy for the integration of people with disabilities, whose employment rate in the company has increased considerably.

ITER is one of those major projects where the Egis teams can best express the multi-faceted nature

of their skills. As it will be the largest ex-perimental nuclear fusion reactor ever built, ITER calls on a wide range of specia-lities within the Group’s spectrum, with ad-vanced knowledge in building engineering, earthquake engineering, nuclear civil en-gineering, digital data modelling (BIM), etc.

I take great pride in contributing, thanks to Egis, to the largest international collabo-ration in history in the field of energy. It’s both a huge challenge, combining scienti-fic research and industrial know-how, and a great human adventure, calling on more than a thousand people all over the world.

"ITER: a huge challenge and a great human adventure"

Marc, Chief Engineer on ITER

Egis as seen by its people

From my point of view, Egis is above all a brand of in-

ternational renown which offers oppor-tunities in more than a hundred countries throughout the world.

Egis has forged a solid reputation, not only as a respected and acknowledged enginee-ring firm, but also as a responsible business which makes a full and sustainable contri-bution to the well-being of populations.

In India and across south-east Asia, Egis builds a great many partnerships to deve-lop infrastructure and allow entire coun-tries to bring their ambitions to life. I am proud to belong to a Group of this magnitude!

"Egis is an internationally- renowned brand"

Tilak, Communications manager at Egis India

"Proud that a Brazilian is taking part in Grand Paris!"

In 2013 I joined Egis Engen haria e Consultoria in Brazil, my home country. Barely two years later, the

Group offered me the chance to come and work on the Grand Paris Express project. This mobility is a unique opportunity for me to demonstrate by engineering skills in a country other than my own. I really felt honoured to be called over to France to take part in the most iconic and transfor-mational project in the Paris region!

My integration within the project team has allowed me to gain know-how that I will be able to put to use again in new metro projects with Egis, in Brazil this time!

Camila, Civil engineer at Egis Engenharia e Consultoria (Brazil)

Céline, Planning Engineer at Egis International

"International mobility is a true opportunity for an

engineer!"

ACTIVITY REPORT 201418

When Egis offered me the chance to move and work in Senegal, I took them up virtually straight away! This proposal was made following a career development interview with my superiors and human resources, who supported me in this project. I joined the

project team working on the motorway between Dakar and the new internatio-nal Blaise-Diagne airport which is currently under construction. I was extremely interested in this position for the challenges and responsibilities that were invol-ved. It’s a great opportunity for an engineer to be dealing with a project expe-rience of this scale in an international environment. This expat experience has taught me a lot and has given me the chance to fill out my skills, develop new knowledge and open up to other career opportunities.

I consider Egis to be an ex-pert in urban innovation, ca-pable of providing solutions to meet the major challenges

of regions, in particular in the area of mo-bility. At Easytrip, we display our creative spirit in designing the most comprehen-sive range possible of services for mobi-lity. They have already hit the mark with a wide audience and reflect our ambition to become the European leader in services to road users for all types of vehicle. More than 200 Egis employees around the world are part of this adventure. It is a source of pride which makes us feel that we are ac-ting to improve the lives of the population by trying to make life ever easier for road users.

"Our objective: making life easier for road users"

Audrey, Marketing manager at Egis Easytrip Services

Because it brings on a ge-nuine collaborative wor-king process between all our job fields, BIM is des-

tined to find its way into each and every one of our activities. As BIM Manager, my job is to bring to life our BIM by Egis model by developing and disseminating through the Group the tools and methods which will allow our projects to be produced as BIM digital models from their design to project delivery. This is a recently created assign-ment with a strong potential for adapta-tion which fortunately changes as quickly as the tools, practices and rules relating to the use of BIM.

"Bring to life our BIM by Egis model"

Helios became part of Egis in 2013 to reinforce the Group’s position in the aviation consultancy sector. Today, we are proud to work in the world’s largest international airports in places like London, Amsterdam, Singapore, Dubai and Jeddah, advising them in their development strate-gies. It is a complex and painstaking job that we put 100% effort into and which has helped us

to become one of the leading names in our sector. Thanks to Egis’ international scope, Helios will be able to look forward to unprecedented empowerment with new markets opening up such as the Philippines and, very soon, Brazil.*Aviation consultancy firm

In my view, Egis has the potential of becoming the leading supplier of solutions in infrastructure engineering and construction project management in the Middle East. The people at Egis have a key role to play in the transformation of this large world region where they find a unique opportunity to demonstrate their skills, professionalism and

their acute sense of responsibility. In exchange, Egis trusts its employees and offers them a genuine opportunity for self-fulfilment, by valuing them through their work and allowing them to take part in iconic projects that could give a real boost to their international career.

The Jijel inland motorway, which runs for 110 km from the port of DjenDjen to the EastWest

motorway, is one of Algeria’s most important developmental projects. Designed to European standards, this threelane motorway has no less than 12  interchanges, a dual-tube tunnel measuring 1,850m in length, about a hundred engineering structures including 54 bridges, and required 46,000,000 cubic metres of earthworks, in a complex geographical environment. We are proud to display Egis’ expertise on this project: overseeing construction works, but also training the local staff to our working methods in the field of project supervision and management.
