NOTIFICATION Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka State Employees Group Insurance Scheme Rules was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Karnataka Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification No. FD 11 Saviyo 2011, Dated: 20th October, 2011, in part-IV-A of Karnataka Gazette dated 20th October, 2011, inviting objections or suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby, within 15 days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 20th October, 2011. And whereas, no objections/suggestions were received by the State Government, Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act No.14 of 1990) the Government of Karnataka, hereby makes the following rules namely: -

RULES 1. Title and Commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka State Employees Group Insurance Scheme

(Amendment) Rules, 2011. (2) They shall come into force with effect from the first day of January 2012.

2. Amendment of Rule 8:- In the Karnataka State Employees Group Insurance Scheme Rules, 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) in rule 8, after sub-rule 8.2(g), the following shall be inserted namely:-

8.2(h) The benefit admissible from the Savings Fund with effect from first day of January, 2012 shall be as given in Table 110. This table shall be applicable to an employee, who becomes a member for the Scheme, on or after First day of January 2012. The benefit admissible from the Savings Fund with effect from first day of January 2012, in respect of an employee who was a member of the Scheme before that date and who retires on attaining the age of superannuation or otherwise ceases to be a member after that date, shall be as given in table 110 to 140. The benefits as shown in these tables shall be in force until further orders.

Insertion of new tables 110 to 140: -After Table 109 in Annexure (1) of the said rules, the following shall be inserted with effect from the first day of January 2012 namely: -
