La primavera, mite conalcune piogge al momento giusto, ha permesso un ottimo sviluppo vegetativo por-tando ad una fioritura sempre in anticipo. Lo sviluppo degli acini è stato accompa-gnato da un giugno piovoso in tutta la Toscana. L’estate inizia con un mese di lugliofinalmente caldo e secco, mentre in agosto si fa più fresco con i classici temporaliintorno a metà mese creando di conseguenza un rallentamento della maturazioneche riporta la data di raccolta nella norma. Un Settembre perfetto, ampiamentesoleggiato e con temperature mai eccessive e quasi privo di piogge, ha permessoun’ottima maturazione lenta e progressiva dell’uva concentrando i profumi e i poli-fenoli senza nessuna sovra maturazione.Note di degustazione Nato sotto un clima molto favorevole, all’espressione dellacomplessità aromatica e della finezza Ornellaia si presenta con la solita veste rubinointensa. Al naso si esprime la frutta pienamente matura, di una grande freschezzacon toni di frutta a bacca nera, spezie e note balsamiche. In bocca colpisce con untannino particolarmente vellutato e levigato, intense note fruttate e speziate. Diottimo spessore e densità prevale comunque la sensazione di grande armonia che siconclude in un lungo finale fruttato e balsamico, dove il tannino si fa più presente,augurio di ulteriore e bellissimo sviluppo.
