"When you consider that TNS are a full-time professional club and Airbus picked up most of their

players from the semi-professional Football Conference you can see why I am hugely satisfied with third

    position in the league."

"Since the new format started Carmarthen have improved season-on-season and I have to congratulate

my players on what has been a splendid effort. They all come from South Wales and play for very basic

    money."

Aizlewood also issued a word of caution. "After the TNS game people kept coming up to me and saying

we now have two Europa League Qualifying home games. We do not. We have one definite homematch and, should we win that, then we have the benefit of playing the Play-Off Final at Richmond

Park. However, what I would really like our supporters to do is to reflect on the season. Third place

equals the highest position in the club's history. We have had difficult times with the pitch problems and

have not played all of our home fixtures at Richmond Park."

"The achievements on the field, which included another Word Cup success, are a credit to the players

who have now got fitness levels they never previously knew they had."

"All round this has been a season of success.".

gap CONNAHS QUAY www.the-nomads.co.ukwww.the-nomads.co.uk recently spoke to Director of Football Mark McGregor to get his thoughts on the 2013-14

season and to look forward to what next season has to hold for The Nomads. The interview took place at Deeside Stadium and saw Mark praise the positive start to the season,

mentioning that a strong pre-season with games against Wrexham, Cardiff Citys Development Squad

and a trip to Yorkshire helped towards The Nomads good start to the season.

The start of the downward slide in the season was attributed to the 3-3 draw at Carmarthen Town where

The Nomads were 3-0 up at half time and ended up losing two players through injury and one more

through a straight red which was to keep him out for a further three games.

Mark sighted that strong support of Chairman and gap personnel CEO Gary Dewhurst, who helped tobring in the new players in the January transfer window, as the turning point in the season, along with

    important goals from Gary OToole.

You can listen to the full interview by watching the above video, or alternatively, you can download the

fourth episode of The Nomads official podcast, The NomadsCast, which will be available on Tuesday,

PORT TALBOT TOWN www.porttalbottown.co.ukPORT Talbot Town have appointed Jarred Harvey as their new permanent manager.

The former head coach stepped up to take the reins following Scott Youngs departure last month.Harvey left Welsh League outfit Cambrian and Clydach to join the clubs backroom staff in January and hasimpressed during his time at the Gen Quip Stadium. With Harvey at the helm, Port Talbot finished a difficultcampaign with a victory over Bala. The University of South Wales head coach will not set about arranging his backroom team, with a further

announcement on this subject to follow.Jarred is a young up and coming manager, who is already well respected in Welsh football, said chief executive

Andrew Edwards. We like his enthusiasm, we share his football beliefs, and as a club we are confident weve gotthe right man to take us forward. There is a big rebuilding job to do and, as a board, we believe he is up to thatchallenge. We are looking forward to a bright future with Jarred in charge.

JARRED Harvey is desperate to harness Port Talbotsuntapped potential after being named the clubspermanent manager.

Im over the moon. Port Talbot have always been aclub I watched and one I played for on one occasion.

They are one of the nearest clubs to where I grew upand Im really looking forward to getting involved in

things, said Harvey. This is one of the bestopportunities I could have been given. I want to helpget the club get to where we want to be. There is

massive potential here.As far as Im concerned, last season is history. Thestats dont lie, we finished where wedid. Now, its about looking forward, setting goals that

are realistic and looking to progress.

I want to get Port Talbot back to where we should be. Im not saying were going to win the league, but we cancertainly improve our position.

Port Talbot ended a disappointing campaign in ninth, and were in danger of finishing in the bottom two untilbeating Bala on the last day of the season.

Harvey will now set about arranging his backroom staff before focusing on signing players for the next campaign.Port Talbot are a club Ive always had the utmost respect for. The support theyve got is fabulous, and beinginvolved in that kind of fan base is really exciting, he added.

Ive got an idea of the players I want to talk to and Ill be looking to sign them as soon as possible.

THE LAST WORD from Gwyn DerfelI would like to begin by applauding both Aberystwyth Town and The New Saints for serving up a

fantastic and enthralling Welsh Cup Final on Saturday. I can only sincerely commiserate with Aber who

came so close to securing the victory but also take great pride in congratulating TNS for showing true

grit and great skill as they overturned a two goal deficit.

The match was a great advert for the competition and also showcased the quality of our NationalLeague. It was yet another example of how it is difficult to understand why certain people dont give our

domestic game the credit it deserves.

Aberystwyth and The New Saints will of course be representing us in Europe over the summer. Lets

hope that the quality which was on show over the weekend will be evident in those matches as well.

Abers failure to hold on to their two goal advantage brought an end to Bala Towns European

aspirations and so we now know that Carmarthen will host Rhyl on Saturday and that Newtown travel to

Bangor. We had a chat in the office a few days ago regarding who would clinch the final Europa League

spot via the Play-Offs and every one of the four teams was named and lauded by different individuals.

To be honest I dont have a clue I just hope that the games emulate the standard of the Welsh Cup

    Final.

Cardiff Met secured the domestic treble on Sunday as they beat reigning champions Cardiff City toreclaim their crown. The Students have only lost one match all season and deserve great credit for their

    efforts and quality.

Finally Id also like to congratulate Conwy Borough. They have joined the WPL Development League

this season and unlike the WPL teams dont receive academy funding. The boys have developed well

during the campaign although results havent gone their way. However with only 2 games remaining

they won 1-0 at Bala to secure their first victory of the season. I know that winning isnt everything

but Im sure that TNS, Cardiff Met and Conwy Borough will confirm that it is a truly great feeling.

Y GAIR OLAF gan Gwyn DerfelMaen rhaid i mi dechrauheddiw drwy longyfarch Aberystwyth ar Seintiau Newydd am chwarae eu

rhan mewn Rownd Derfynol hynod gofiadwy yng Nghwpan Cymru ddydd Sadwrn. Hoffwn

gydymdeimlo gydag Aber wrth gwrs am ddioddef torcalon llwyr ond ar y llaw arall rhaid canmol

cymeriad a dycnwch y Seintiau am berfformiad y byddai Lasarus wedi bod yn falch ohonno.

Roedd y ffeinal fawr yn hysbyseb wych o ran safon chwarae ein Cynghrair Cenedlaethol ac yn ergyd

arall ir rhai sydd yn daI i ladd ar neu anwybyddu - ein gm ddomestig.

Bydd y Seintiau ac Aber yn chwifior faner ar ein rhan yn Ewrop dros yr haf wrth gwrs ac os y

gwnawn nhw berfformio fel y gwnaethant dros y Sul gobeithio y gwnawn nhw greu gwir argraff ar

Gynghrair y Pencampwyr a Chynghrair Europa.

Gan na lwyddodd Aberystwyth i ddal gafael ar eu mantais yn y rownd derfynol daeth gobeithion Y

Bala o brofi antur Ewropeaidd arall i ben. Rydym bellach yn gwybod y bydd Caerfyrddin yn croesawurRhyl yn un or gemau yn rownd gyn-derfynol y gemau ail-gyfle tra bydd Y Drenewydd yn teithio i

Fangor yn y llall. Doedd neb yn y swyddfan gallu cytuno pwy fydd yn hawlior lle olaf yn Ewrop.

Does gennyf ddim syniad pwy aiff hi i fod yn onest ond rwyn gobeithio y bydd y gemaun rhai

llawn safon a chyffro ac yn adlewyrchur holl rinweddau welwyd yn Ffeinal Cwpan Cymru.

Hoffwn godi nghap i ferched Met Caerdydd heddiw wedi iddyn nhw sicrhaur trebl dros y Sul Cwpan

y Cynghrair, Cwpan Cymru a Phencampwriaeth Shared Access hefyd. Dim ond un gm y maent wedi ei

cholli trwy gydol y tymortipyn o gamp.

Hoffwn gloi heddiw drwy longyfarch tm arall hefyd. Mae Conwy wedi bod yn cystadlu yng

Nghynghrair Datblygu UGC y tymor yma ond heb y cyllid y mae clybiaur Uwch Gynghrair yn eu

derbyn ar gyfer hyrwyddor academau. Yn eu gm olaf ond un or tymor fe lwyddon nhw i ennill eu

gornest gyntaf or ymgyrch. Llongyfarchiadau mawr.Rwyn derbyn nad ennill yw popeth ond rwyn siwr y bydd Conwy, Met Caerdydd ar Seintiaun

cadarnhau ei fod yn brofiad gwefreiddiol a gwych..
