The Show Racism the Red Card team visited The New Saints football club last week and gave the TNS Academy

    players an educational workshop.

Jason Webber and his team talked to the enthusiastic children about the issues regarding racism in sport as well

    as racism in general.

The academy players also watched an engaging presentation on how people should show racism the red card.

The children also watched a DVD during the workshop. The DVD was a general anti-racism resource suitablefor ages eight to adult. It featured high profile footballers such as Thierry Henry, Derek Ferguson, Mustapha

Hadji, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Didier Drogba and Samuel Etoo talking about the issue alongside the

    experiences of young people.

A Safe Place DVD educates about racism towards asylum seekers and refugees and also about Islamophobia

which tackles racism towards Muslims. Each DVD comes with an education pack with discussion points and

activities for teachers to use on the resource.

Out of Site education pack aims to educate on the topic of racism towards Gypsy, Roma and Traveller groups.

Again, this resource includes relevant discussion points and activities.

JDs WEBSITE REVIEWRHYL FC - www.rhylfc.co.uk

I was delighted when Rhyl won promotion back to the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League at the end of last

season, having been one of the mainstays of Welsh domestic football prior to their unfortunate relegation for non-football reasons. I have always enjoyed my visits to Sunny Rhyl and indeed can never recall visiting the BelleVue ground when it was raining. That will be of course be no consolation to the locals who suffered flood damagelast week and it was pleasing to hear that the club held a collection for the unfortunate people affected at theWelsh Cup game against Bangor City.I enteredwww.rhylfc.co.ukand was confronted with a Home Page that while not being quite to my personal taste, was awash with information with prominence being given to the all-important sponsors. The latest News item wasthe report on the aforementioned Welsh Cup match which was posted over twenty four hours after the finalwhistle. There were numerous further News items for the reader, but the updates seem to come in groups, withseveral days of no activity in between. At the time of my visit the details of the clubs next match was also out ofdate. Having highlighted those negatives, I was happy with the quality of the news items, which invariably were

    complemented with a photograph.

There are several sub headings were further information can be accessed. On the Match Page, first team fixturesand results, together with an up to date League Table were available as was an Under 19 League Table. On theClub Page, there is a list of Club Officials and a wealth of information regarding the Club History, together with aTimeline.

The Commercial Page gives information to potential sponsors, on advertising and Match Day hospitalityopportunities and a list of players with photographs, with their sponsors names and those that are still available tosupport for the current season.I found the Academy and Football in the Communitypages to be quite good, which reflects Rhyl FCs excellencein these areas. The Academy information was up to date, while I was impressed by the wide range ofopportunities that the club offers to young people in the community, which includes reading groups and dietaryadvice among many other activities.

The Club Shop page was less impressive, with only brief details of

merchandise available and no information on prices, where to buy it andno online purchase facility. In conclusion, like my Aberystwyth review last week, I found manypositive aspects on the Rhyl FC website, but it could be significantly

improved by a little more TLC.

    CLUB NEWS

I'm very happy with the squad we have and the number of goals we're scoring."Carmarthen Town have now removed the article, and we have received an apology from the club. AberystwythTown FC would like to thank Carmarthen Town's Board of Directors for their cooperation in resolving this matteramicably....

THE LAST WORD from Gwyn DerfelThank you to those of you who responded with comments regarding home grown players

following last weeks article. It is about time that we made a clear state ment of who we are andhow we want to grow.

The longer Im in this privileged position of administering our National League the more I

realise the increasing quality our clubs bring to the table.

Sgorio and S4C have been fantastic supporters of the Corbett Sports WPL over a long period of

time of course and it is also great to see BBC Wales increasing their coverage in certain

programmes. The newly introduced Welsh Goal of the Month competition was introduced two

months agoincluding goals by Welsh clubs and Welsh players who play outside of Wales. Lee

Hunt won the competition in the first month and then Mark Connolly scooped the prize in the

second month. Lets hope that people who havent as yet been introduced to the quality in ourLeague decide to give it a go having witnessed the great victorious goals on Sport Wales.

We have an opportunity to attract new fans to Waless National League on St Davids Day ofcourse. Now I accept that this is a Welsh Cup weekend but this is a great chance to appeal to

Welsh football fans who havent as yet given the Corbett sports clubs involved a go. Were

considering offering free entry to any fan who turns up in an official Wales shirt. This isnt

confirmed as yet but once again Im asking you for your ideas and your comments. Good idea or

    not? Onwards and upwards together.

Y GAIR OLAF gan Gwyn Derfel

Diolch ir rhai ohonoch wnaeth ymateb i fy sylwadau am feithrin chwaraewyr ein hunain ynerthygl yr wythnos ddiwethaf. Rwyn credun gryf ydylem wneud datganiad clir am ein pwrpas

an dyheadau fel Cynghrair Cenedlaethol. Rwyf wedi cael y fraint o weinyddu Uwch Gynghrair

Cymru-Corbett Sports ers bron i ddwy flynedd bellach ac mae fy nghred yn cynyddun ddyddiol

bod safon y chwarae gwellan gyson.

Mae S4C a Sgorio wedi bod yn gefnogwyr gwych a chyson in Cynghrair wrth gwrs a braf o

beth yw gweld bod ambell raglen ar y BBC yn talu mwy o sylw ir Corbett Sports. Mae rhaglen

Sport Wales wedi cyflwyno eitem Gl Gymreig y Mis ers deufis syn cynnwys goliau gan

glybiau Cymreig neu Gymry syn chwarae y tu allan in gwlad. Lee Hunt enillodd y wobr fis

diwethaf a Mark Connolly oedd dewis Sam Ricketts y mis hwn. Dwy allan o ddwy inCynghrair Cenedlaethol felly.

Gobeithio wir y bydd y bobl oedd ddim yn ymwybodol o safon chwarae ein clybiau tan gweld y

goliau gwych ar Sport Walesyn rhoi cynnig ar wylio ein gemaun y dyfodol agos.

Mae Mawrth y Cyntaf yn gyfle gwych i geisio marchnata clybiau ein Cynghrair Cenedlaethol.

Rwyn derbyn mai penwythnos Cwpan Cymru yw hwn ond rydym yn ceisio meddwl amgynlluniau i ddenu cefnogwyr newydd drwyn gatiau. Beth am fynediad am ddim i gefnogwyr

syn gwisgo crys swyddogol Cymru? Beth ywch barn chi? Syniad da neu beidio? Gadewch i

mi wybod os gwelwch yn dda. Wrth gydweithio gydan gilydd bydd gwelliant pellach ar y

    gorwel. Diolch yn fawr.
