velops, manufactures and distributes market-oriented LED

products, components and control systems for innova-

tive lighting solutions. Based in Dornbirn, the company is

among the world’s top four manufacturers of lighting com-

ponents. Tridonic currently employs around 2,000 workers

in 30 branches as well as in distribution offices. 570 inven-

tions and more than 2,000 patents underline the company’s

strength in innovation.

Warehouse logistics for Tridonic GmbH & Co KGGebrüder Weiss and Tridonic look back on a long-standing

business relationship, which is based on continuity, trust

and success. Gebrüder Weiss has been looking after the

central warehouse at the Lauterach site for many years.

The global markets are served from here. This is where all

warehouse logistics from voucherless picking to the pack-

aging of goods and preparation for transport take place. A

collaboration which works smoothly and routinely. In line

with the rapid growth in the Asian market, Tridonic sought

a logistics solution for the Singapore site in the autumn

of 2010 with the following aims: providing a faster ser-

vice to the Asian market and improving the quality of ser-

vice. The global company was already represented with a

distribution office in Singapore, but the previous logistics

solutions were no longer adequate for the growth and the

increased demands on the Asian market. Tridonic sought

a new service provider to implement a logistics solution

in Singapore in accordance with European standards.

Gebrüder Weiss created a tender which relied on tried and

tested processes, many years of international experience

and the highest IT expertise.

Trusted systemsGebrüder Weiss exported the Tridonic logistics solution

from the Lauterach site to Singapore and successfully

implemented it, adapted to local conditions and the cus-

tomer’s specific requirements. The handling in Lauterach is

completely paperless with scanners.

Flexible solutionGebrüder Weiss implemented the warehouse logistics with

a logistics partner. Gebrüder Weiss rented an area in their

warehouses near the port. The storage capacities can be

extended if required at any time.

The highest level of developmentThe warehouse management in Asia is also controlled in

the GW system. The high-performance information systems

are at the cutting edge of technology and as a central inter-

face guarantee the efficient control of goods.

Tridonic. From the central warehouse in Lauterach and

other international locations, the high-tech lighting com-

ponents arrive in bundles in the Asian hub of Singapore via

air and sea transport – this saves time and transport costs.

From there, Tridonic serves its markets in Asia, Australia

and New Zealand. The most modern information systems

ensure that the GW logistics centre is always sufficiently
