THE YOGA HOUSE STUDIO
THE RETREAT can accommodate up to 34 guests in its multiple occupancy guest rooms. The spacious yet intimate layout of THE RETREAT works really well for group leaders, teachers and business groups, as well as groups of family and friends.
With over 1,500 square feet of indoor space, the Yoga House Studio can accommodate up to 20 yoga participants. The studio’s entire west wall features French doors that open up to an expansive terrace with breathtaking views.

The indoor studio is a multifunctional space that can be used for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to:
• Public Powder Room• Fully Functioning Teaching Kitchen • Six-foot Bar with Seating and Serving Capabilities
• Indoor Dance Studio for up to 25 guests• Conference Room for up to 50 guests• Banquet Hall for up to 100 guests• Teaching Space for up 75 guests• Private Dining Room for up to 100 guests• Dance Floor, Bar and Cocktail Reception space for up to 150 guests
The 1,400 square foot outdoor terrace provides picturesque views of the entire property. Looking out over the waterfall and fire-pit pool, it faces an unobstructed landscape stretching all the way to the shoreline of the Nicoya Peninsula. You can actually look out to the ocean while seated in one of our plush outdoor living rooms around a fire pit.
The Outdoor terrace also serves as a beautiful complimentary space to the Yoga Studio, increasing its usable space to nearly 3,000 square feet. When opened it can comfortably accommodate well over 40 yoga participants or a 300 person cocktail party.
The Northeast side of the Outdoor terrace features a beautiful glass covered pergola. It provides a shady place to enjoy a fresh made superfood smoothie, or the perfect spot for exchanging special vows.
THE YOGA HOUSE TERRACE
A sanctuary of peace and tranquility, our organic spa is outfitted in flowing white curtains. Surrender to the hands of spa attendants skillfully trained in the finest services, using the finest ingredients in the spa industry world-wide.
Select from a delicious variety of spa treatments designed to pamper your skin and body from head to toe. Our locally-produced spa products, Raw Botanicals, source only the finest ingredients including Biodynamic Certified Organic botanicals.
The spa features two treatments rooms, outdoor showers and a steam room.
THE SPA
More than just a kitchen, on a daily basis, the yoga house studio will be transformed into a classroom. Our vision is to create a center of learning that draws notable experts from all fields of the global health and wellness community to share their knowledge of ancient wisdoms and cutting edge breakthroughs applied into practical techniques our guests can implement into their daily lives. Such topics of learning will include: B Feeding your microbiome for maximum immune health.
B Making your own fermented foods from kimchee to kombucha. B How to grow your own garden: from seeds to harvest.
B Raw before Six: how to prepare the most nutritious and delicious smoothies and create raw foods dishes from soups to hearty meals.
B Herbal medicines: how to heal yourself naturally from pantry to garden.
THE TEACHING KITCHEN
With its amazing variety of tropical foods and fresh, organic produce Costa Rica attracts purists from all over the world. THE RETREAT provides the best of what the land and sea has to offer.
We have taken the best traditional Costa Rican recipes and transformed them to fit all lifestyle choices by offering FARM TO FORK cuisine on a daily basis, with VEGAN options at every meal, as well as ALL RAW choices.
Just adjacent to the pool area, the restaurant sits overlooking the mountainside under a covered terrace with twinkling lights and a cool breeze. It is a place where guests gather between activities to enjoy meals, and can seat as many as 40 guests.
THE RESTAURANT
RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICIESRESERVATION POLICY
B A 50% deposit of the total room cost including taxes is required to secure your reservation. Once the booking has been processed, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation email that outlines a summary of your booking. Please review the information carefully and contact us immediately at [email protected] if you have any questions or require any changes. This email will also include important information that we urge you to read to ensure your travel to Costa Rica is issue free.
B Please review our Cancellation Policy below. Securing your reservation with a credit card means you accept the terms of our Cancellation Policy.
B The remaining balance of your total room cost including taxes is due on check in at the hotel. THE RETREAT accepts cash (US Dollars and Euros), and credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express). Traveler’s checks are no longer accepted at THE RETREAT.
B Alternatively you may pay your hotel room balance via bank wire transfer prior to your arrival. Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like us to send you bank account details and wire transfer instructions. Payments must be received no less than one week prior to your arrival date. Please ensure you confirm your payment with us via email.
B We require a six-night minimum booking for holiday reservations during the Christmas and New Years Eve holiday period (December 22 _ January 5) and a three-night minimum booking during the Easter Holiday period and December 15 - December 21.
B Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to stay at the hotel. Children are permitted in the restaurant.
B Pets are not permitted at THE RETREAT.
B We ask that all of our guests purchase Travel Insurance, which is generally inexpensive, but can really save a lot of emotional distress if an unforeseen event occurs. We recommend your travel insurance will cover you for airline flight and accommodation cancellation especially during the hurricane season. We also recommend you are covered for accident, illness, medical evacuation and theft.
CANCELLATION POLICY
B Securing a reservation with your deposit means you accept the terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy.
B Cancellations made more than 60 days from check-in date will receive a 90% refund of the deposit paid or the option of a credit, which is valid for one year from cancellation date.
B Cancellations made between 60 and 31 days from check-in date will receive a 50% refund of the deposit paid or the option of a credit, which is valid for one year from the cancellation date. Cancellations made between 30 and 15 days from the check-in date will receive a 30% refund of deposit paid. Cancellations made less than 14 days from the check-in date will forfeit the deposit paid.
B All refunds are payable by PayPal and are subject to PayPal fees. We do not issue refunds by bank transfer at this time.
B There are no refunds or credits issued due to bad weather. Please take out Travel Insurance to protect against any types of unforeseen events such as inclement weather or natural disasters.
B Any changes to your reservation must be received no less than 30 days prior to your original arrival date via email, and changes are subject to availability. If there is no availability, a credit will be issued. There are no refunds or credits issued for reservation changes within 30 days of the arrival date that reduce the number of nights stayed.
B There are no refunds or credits issued for early checkouts.
B There are no refunds or credits issued due to bad weather, tropical storms or hurricanes; including any inconvenience or complication caused by a hurricane’s direct hit, near miss, or significant threat of a hurricane strike. Hurricanes are unpredictable by nature. Please take out Travel Insurance to protect against these types of unforeseen events.
B All credits issued are valid for one year from the original cancellation date. A credit can only be used for hotel reservations (not hotel services). A credit can be transferred to another person provided we have written authorization from you.
