11 March 2016 Good morning. I had hoped by now that the fog would have liſted, but having just walked the site I can see it really hasn't changed much at all since early this morning. Many thanks to parents who aended this week's parent consultaon appointments. It was good to see so many of you. I hope you found the meeng beneficial. Please let me remind you though that we are always here, so if something niggles or you have a queson, please don't feel you have to wait unl parents evening. Drop an email into school and we can happily arrange an appointment with the class teacher. This week the senior leadership team met to discuss a variety of things, the new school build of course being one of them. We were looking parcularly at the classroom plans to check that we would have all the furniture, fixtures and fings we required for September. As part of the school move in August, Yorkon have commissioned a company to come in and look at all the legacy furniture, fings and fixtures which can be transferred into the new school. There are detailed plans of every chair, table, cupboard and book shelf, to name but a few, which will be transferred as legacy furniture into the new classrooms. There are of course things which are no longer fit for purpose and will not fit into the new school. These items, we will either Ebay (if not condemned) or recycle in some way. We will use any monies raised to buy equipment for the new school. I met with class reps briefly this week so that we could look at ways of raising further funds for the 'bells and whistles' in the new school. It was commented that perhaps there was sll confusion amongst some parents over what the funds raised would be used for. Please let me reconfirm that the school buildings are all being paid for by the EFA as part of the £5.6million project - you can read all about that in this week's Surrey Adverser. This £5.6million covers the total cost of rebuild of the main school, the modificaon/refurbishment of part of the old school as a Children's Centre and Nursery, demolion of the old school and landscaping/play space in its place. The money which parents and the community are helping to raise will be for the extra things not provided for the school such as outdoor play equipment, gazebos, a sound system for the hall, new staging for producons, addional computer equipment and whiteboards for the extra spaces we will have, amongst other things. We are in the process of compiling a list of 'must haves' and a list of 'would be nice to haves'. Best of luck to those of you aending the Quiz tonight. I shall await the news of which team has won and how compeve everyone was! My thanks in advance for aending the event and supporng the school - it is greatly appreciated. Wishing you all a good weekend. Kathryn Krynicki Headteacher School Newsletter Next Friday, 18th March, the hoarding around the playground will be extended to cross the path between Beech and Chestnut classes. This will be for one day only to deal with a manhole. Access from one end of the school to the other will be through the Recepon outdoor classroom on this occasion.

Good morning. I had hoped by now that the fog would have lifted, but having just walked the site I can see it really hasn't changed much at all since early this morning.

Many thanks to parents who attended this week's parent consultation appointments. It was good to see so many of you. I hope you found the meeting beneficial. Please let me remind you though that we are always here, so if something niggles or you have a question, please don't feel you have to wait until parents evening. Drop an email into school and we can happily arrange an appointment with the class teacher.

This week the senior leadership team met to discuss a variety of things, the new school build of course being one of them. We were looking particularly at the classroom plans to check that we would have all the furniture, fixtures and fittings we required for September. As part of the school move in August, Yorkon have commissioned a company to come in and look at all the legacy furniture, fittings and fixtures which can be transferred into the new school.

It was commented that perhaps there was still confusion amongst some parents over what the funds raised would be used for. Please let me reconfirm that the school buildings are all being paid for by the EFA as part of the £5.6million project - you can read all about that in this week's Surrey Advertiser. This £5.6million covers the total cost of rebuild of the main school, the modification/refurbishment of part of the old school as a Children's Centre and Nursery, demolition of the old school and landscaping/play space in its place. The money which parents and the community are helping to raise will be for the extra things not provided for the school such as outdoor play equipment, gazebos, a sound system for the hall, new staging for productions, additional computer equipment and whiteboards for the extra spaces we will have, amongst other things. We are in the process of compiling a list of 'must haves' and a list of 'would be nice to haves'.

Best of luck to those of you attending the Quiz tonight. I shall await the news of which team has won and how competitive everyone was! My thanks in advance for attending the event and supporting the school - it is greatly appreciated.

Wishing you all a good weekend.
