Affected charts and Notices
Underrättelser för sjöfarande (Ufs) is an official Swedishpublication which provides information pertaining to shippingin the Baltic Sea Area and Kattegat, as well as Skagerrakeast of a line drawn between Hanstholm and Lindesnes.
The information on foreign waters is largely confined tosignificant occurrences which may affect Swedish charts.Ufs is thus wholly unsuited for the purpose of keeping BA-charts and/or other national charts updated.
An asterisk (*) in front of the number denotes that the noticeis based on information obtained from Swedish sourcematerial and that the details contained therein affectSwedish waters.When the letter (P) is adjacent to the notice number itserves as an indication that the notice is of a preliminarynature. Such notices will later be replaced by correspondingones containing definitive information.Similarly, when the letter (T) is placed adjacent to the noticenumber it denotes that the notice is of a temporary nature.In case no period of validity is given, this type of notice willbe rendered invalid either when a new Temporary Notice ispromulgated or if pertaining conditions cease to exist.
Bearings are true and given clockwise from 000° to 360°and, when given in conjunction with lights, indicate adirection from seaward.
Featured chartlets are primarily intended to simplify chartcorrection work and are not always true to scale. In general,they show the largest charted scale available for respectivearea.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
BSCD2000 - Baltic Sea Chart Datum 2000 Mean Sea Level (MSL) is generally used as vertical chart datum in waters with little or no influence of tide. HoweverMSL is defined somewhat different in different countries which in some areas result in contradictory depths on theboundaries between countries.The countries surrounding the Baltic Sea have now agreed on a common vertical reference system, "Baltic Sea ChartDatum 2000" (BSCD2000), to be gradually introduced in charts and ENCs. The zero level in the new reference systemis close to MSL and is expressed ±0,0 m BSCD2000.The Hydrographic Office of Sweden has started to introduce the BSCD2000 as an official Chart Datum in all chartsand ENCs, se further information below.Sea level information from SMHI (Meteo Sweden) and Swedish Maritime Administration will later on be referred toBSCD2000, (preliminary from 2017). Decreased depths due to the post-glacial land uplift Most coastal waters of Sweden are affected by the post-glacial land uplift. This implies depths continuously becomingshallower and depth figures and contours in charts and ENC slowly becoming obsolete, i.e. showing deeper than realdepth. In the northern waters this has resulted in that actual depth at mean water level is up to 0.5 m shallower thancharted depth.To solve this problem, and to adapt Swedish charts to the new chart datum BSCD2000, the Hydrographic Office ofSwedish has started the Chart Improvement Project (Sjökortslyftet). THE CHART IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (SJÖKORTSLYFTET) The Chart Improvement Project imply in brief following changes to charts and ENCs of Swedish coastal waters:- Introduction of the new chart datum BSCD2000, which in most waters imply amendments to all charted depth figuresand contours- Corrections to charted shore line in accordance with the latest aerial photos from the Land Survey Authorities.- Quality assurance of most aids to navigation- Introduction of 15 m and 30 m depth contours.The Chart Improvement Project has started at the border with Finland and will follow the Swedish coast all the way tothe border with Norway, which is expected to be reached in 2021.In the summer of 2016 the project is expected to be completed along the coast between Haparanda and Skellefteå.This means that new editions of all ENCs for this area gradually will be released during the spring-summer of 2016.The new editions will include new Chart Datum (BSCD2000) and all other amendments that are subject to the project.In the period March - July 2016 following charts, which are affected by the Chart Improvement Project, will be issuedas new edition:
NOTE: During the progress of the Project there will exist a border between the old and new chart datum somewhere along theSwedish coast. In ENCs and other updated electronic charts this border may appear as illogical leaps in depthscontours and shoreline.When navigating with small under keel clearance it is important to have great knowledge about applied Chart Datumand current water level.

Time: Until summer 2016.Another two gas pipelines is planned to be laid between Russia and Germany. The new gas pipelines are planned togo in close proximity to the existing two pipelines, in Swedish waters mainly east and south of them.Seabed surveys will take place at various places to determine the most appropriate location of the pipelines.Until June 2016 seabed surveys will be performed in Swedish waters within the corridor which is shown in the chartlet.The surweys will mainly be done by the ship STRIL EXPLORER/2EBI9, until beginning of May also by FUGROGALAXY/C6YY4 and BLUE ALFA/OXUZ2.Equipment will at times be towed 500 m astern of the ships. A safety zone of 500 m is requested by all the ships.

Daily ordinary working schedule between 0700 - 1900.Work is ongoing with the deployment of a submarine pipeline in the area shown on the chartlet.The pipe is made up of individual 500 metre long sections which are assembled in the bay south of Revsudden.
