1. HIGH ON BLOW

Inclusion of the channel 4 logo, which has the role to make an awareness of where the documentary will be aired on.

The main title of the documentary is present, followed by the time which it will be broadcast. A white bordering making the text stand out also following newspaper adverts codes and conventions . The typography matches the channel 4 logo.

Dark colours like dark green and silver used to create the sense of natural action to the documentary, this become eye catching colours to the reader as he can relate this colours to the main images which reinforce the documentary theme.

Logo of the documentary’s sponsors (Volkswagen) placed at the bottom right, famous companies which sponsor the programme helps to attract the audience

2. LIFE

Inclusion of Discovery channel’s logo giving the audience an awareness of where the documentary will be broadcasted on.Presentation of time

and the date which the documentary will be broadcast, the same typography is used to the title of the documentary and the channel’s logo. However the details displayed in the advert does not follow the codes and conventions of newspaper print advert which says time and time should be on the right side of the advert

A white bright colour scheme used in the advert to create an sense of something “pure” or “new” which relates back to the title and its colour. “Life” and Green colour emphasizing nature which lead the audience to think of new lives.

The title is displayed in a big sized font which creates the eye catching kind of titles, the typography used matches the one used in the time/data and the channel’s logo. The used of green colour scheme helps to emphasise to the audience the term nature which can be related by the used of a wild animal in the advert.

Wild animal is used in order to help the title and the colour schemes to emphasise to the audience the term “new life” brought by the bright white colour scheme and the green colour scheme. The wild animal images also helps the title to have an bigger impact on the reader. “eye catching”

3. DISARMING BRITAINThe used of white colour creates the sense of purity which is also presented in the boy’s facial expressions

The dark colour scheme used in the advert helps to create the sense of darkness. The used of this colour scheme also creates the Levi-Strauss theory of the binary oppositions (Good on the right side vs bad on the left side)

Main title of the documentary is displayed with a red bordering accompanied by the time and the day which the documentary will be broadcast, the typography used matches the Channel 4’s logo and also following the codes and conventions of newspaper print advert.

Inclusion of Channel 4’s logo helping to make awareness in the audience on where the documentary will be broadcasted.
