Question for youth: In today’s Gospel, Peter began to walk on the water when he was focused on Jesus. He began to sink when he got distracted by the storm. What is your life like when you are focused on Jesus and your relationship with God? How is it different when you get caught up in other things? Question for adults: Tell about your experiences of hearing God speak in “tiny voices” rather than in the winds and earthquakes of life. Activities for the week Take these activities to further reflect:

The disciples were afraid of the storm but Jesus reassured them that everything would be okay. Discuss how your family can be there for others in the storms of their life.

Pray Psalm 139 as your family prayer this week. Talk about your relationship with God. When do you find it difficult to trust in God? When do you feel close to God?

Seniors have a wealth of stories about the faith they witnessed in their lives. Interview senior members of your family or parish. Ask them about their lives and how their faith in God helped them through difficult times.

Remember - Children who are preparing for First Reconciliation and First Communion must participate in two years of Faith Formation prior to the celebration of the Sacraments. Teens preparing for the celebration of Confirmation will enroll in a standalone Confirmation preparation program after participation in two prior years of Faith Formation.
