This is to notify all interested parties that Valley County Transit is applying for $174,000 through the Capital Assistance Grant and $373,349.81 under the Montana Department of Transportation’s Operating Grant Program. The funding will be used for providing transportation services to the general public, elderly, and persons with disabilities within Valley County.
The capital assistance grant is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and administered by the Montana Department of Transportation. FTA funds will be used to purchase a 19-passenger bus, a minivan and facility upgrades.

The City of Glasgow Planning Board will conduct a public hearing at its meeting on January 28, 2014, beginning at 5:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers located in the Civic Center Build-ing, 319 3rd Street South, Glasgow, Montana 59230, to review revisions to the City of Glasgow Growth Policy. The proposed Growth Policy has been drafted by consultants for the City of Glasgow to be a city-wide planning document to serve as a guide for land use decisions as the community changes over time. The goals, objectives and associated strategies included in the Growth Policy will inform the community leaders about the physical, social and economic development patterns of Glasgow. The Growth Policy is not a regulatory document, but a guiding document to assure a more consistent approach for the governing body to realize the community’s vision for the future.
The Growth Policy will affect all areas within the jurisdictional city limits of Glasgow, Montana.
All parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Any citizens may submit written protests or support at or before the public hearing.
Following the public hearing, the Planning Board shall by resolution in accordance with the conditions set forth in MCA 76-1-603 make recommendation for revision(s) or make recom-mendation to the City Council for adoption of the growth policy.
