grated Security Alarm called to report a burglar alarm going off at the FedEx office. A driver had set off the alarm.

0634 A female caller reported the door to the Helland Agency across from the Holiday Store was wide open. An officer checked it out and there didn’t appear to be anyone around and nothing seemed to be missing.

1457 A male caller on the Baylor Rd about 2 miles from the Glentana Rd. wanted to know if dispatch had received any reports of a fire. He could see smoke in an area that appeared to be

southeast of Lustre. The fire was 3 miles south of the Ossette Rd., and it was in a pasture and was headed towards a stubble field.

1621 A male caller reported there were some people locked in the Glasgow landfill.

1630 A male caller advised he had found drug paraphernalia (syringes) in the house he was cleaning.

1707 A male caller reported there were several large full square bales on the road at MM 528.5 on Hwy. 2 West. DOT was notified and was coming to this scene as soon as he was done clearing some screws off the highway at MM 513.

1724 A female caller was concerned because she received a call from her father and then lost it. She thinks he may be stuck out on the water. She stated

her father’s wife was “sick with alcohol” and that she needed to be checked on also.

2345 MHP dispatch requested backup for a call on east Hanson Rd. The driver was not respond-ing to the officer’s commands. The driver had come down the road at a high rate of speed, then slammed on his brakes and now was not doing anything. The of-ficer is not sure if anyone is in the vehicle at this time and is at a residence. A hat, sunglasses and a cell phone were found in a field. At 0056 a deputy advised the subject has refused all testing and they are in the process of getting a telephonic warrant.

Sunday, Oct. 18, 20151308 A male caller reported

two people standing very close to the tracks as a train was go-ing by. The people were given a

warning for trespassing and told they would be arrested if they trespassed again.

1707 A male caller reported his girlfriend rolled her vehicle on Bentonite Rd. She told him she hit her head and was trapped in the vehicle. An ambulance was paged and Long Run was paged for extrication. A deputy arrived at the scene and the girl was able to get out of the vehicle and was transported to FMDH.

1727 A male caller from Malta reported a possible drunk driver. He said the vehicle was all over the road and almost hit a semi head on. The vehicle was a darker colored pickup. The vehicle

turned north onto Bjornberg Bridge Rd.

1736 A female caller advised her daughter took a picture of the neighbor’s dog in their yard at 1609 today. The dog was a golden retriever and gave the dog’s name. She said they didn’t need anyone to respond, this was just for record purposes.

1835 A male caller reported he was missing his adult pit bull/German shepherd mix male dog. It was wearing a brown leather collar and he would like a call if it was found.

Monday, Oct. 19, 20151200 A female caller requested

a welfare check on two children who hadn’t been in school for seven days in a row. A deputy made contact with a woman who said she enrolled the children in the Columbia Falls school system

today, and she would be calling the school tomorrow.

1612 Two deputies served a District Court warrant on a fe-male at the Taco Shack.

1656 A deputy with DC wanted to pass along a possible impaired driver in Valley County headed to Scobey. He said they are having a custody issue in Scobey and the biological father of the three kids is coming from Washington to get the kids. The girlfriend has custody of the kids for now and said she will not turn them over to him if he is possibly impaired. She thinks he is impaired because when she talked to him, he didn’t sound like himself and is believed to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He is a white male driving a green 1998 Camaro

NOTICE OF TRUSTEE’S SALEReference is hereby made to that certain

trust indenture/deed of trust (“Deed of Trust”) dated 11/27/06, recorded as Instrument No. 132441, mortgage records of VALLEY County, Montana in which Brian Roness and Donna Roness, husband and wife was Grantor, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. was Beneficiary and Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. was Trustee. First Ameri-can Title Insurance Company has succeeded Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. as Successor Trustee. The Deed of Trust encumbers real property (“Property”) located in VALLEY County, Montana, more particularly described as follows: Lot 10, Block 4, Bell’s First Addition to Glasgow, Montana, according to the Official Plat thereof on file and of record in the Office of the Clerk and Recorder, Valley County, Mon-tana. Beneficiary has declared the Grantor in default of the terms of the Deed of Trust and the promissory note (“Note”) secured by the Deed of Trust because of Grantor’s failure timely to pay all monthly installments of principal, inter-est and, if applicable, escrow reserves for taxes and/or insurance as required by the Note and Deed of Trust. According to the Beneficiary, the obligation evidenced by the Note (“Loan”) is now due for the 07/01/14 installment payment and all monthly installment payments due thereafter. As of September 22, 2015, the amount necessary to fully satisfy the Loan was $77,287.95. This amount includes the outstanding principal balance of $69,464.65, plus accrued interest, accrued late charges, accrued escrow installments for insurance and/or taxes (if any) and advances for the protection of beneficiary’s security interest (if any). Be-cause of the defaults stated above, Beneficiary has elected to sell the Property to satisfy the Loan and has instructed Successor Trustee to commence sale proceedings. Successor Trustee will sell the Property at public auction at the Valley County Courthouse: 501 Court Square, Glasgow, MT 59230, City of Glasgow on February 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM, Mountain Time. The sale is a public sale and any per-son, including Beneficiary and excepting only Successor Trustee, may bid at the sale. The bid price must be paid immediately upon the close of bidding at the sale location in cash or cash equivalents (valid money orders, certified checks or cashier’s checks). The conveyance will be made by trustee’s deed without any representation or warranty, express or implied, as the sale is made strictly on an as-is, where-is basis. Grantor, successor in interest to Grantor or any other person having an interest in the Property may, at any time prior to the trustee’s sale, pay to Beneficiary the entire amount then due on the Loan (including foreclosure costs and expenses actually incurred and trustee’s and attorney’s fees) other than such portion of the principal as would not then be due had no default occurred. Tender of these sums shall effect a cure of the defaults stated above (if all non-monetary defaults are also cured) and shall result in Trustee’s termination of the foreclosure and cancellation of the foreclosure sale. The trustee’s rules of auction may be accessed at www.northwesttrustee.com and are incorporated by the reference. You may also access sale status at www.Northwest-trustee.com or USA-Foreclosure.com. You Hit a Deer…What to Do?FOR THE COuRIER

As nightfall sets in sooner and longer in the fall, there is a risky mix on Montana roads that requires drivers to be extra alert. There might be increased traffic from drivers ed students filling their hours, parents driving to out-of-town ball games, and haul trucks with big loads. At the same time, does and fawns are attracted to roadside vegetation, which also brings the bucks close to roads during breeding season. As a result, we see a rise of deer-vehicle collisions.

A State Farm 2015 statistic indicates that Montana has the highest likelihood in the nation of auto collision with deer: one in 63.

We can all use a reminder of what to do when a driver hits a deer. When deer popula-tion had been low a few years

ago, the number of deer-vehicle collisions also decreased. As whitetail population rebounds, so do deer strikes, according to Valley County UnderSheriff Vernon Buerkle. Valley County estimates that 33 deer- and four cow-vehicle collisions occurred in 2014. Many more went un-reported.

Buerkle advises that the first thing to do is to pull over to the side of the road and make sure ev-eryone is OK. If medical help is needed, call 911. Turn on the haz-ard lights and assess the condition of your vehicle. If the vehicle is broken down or not safe to drive, contact the local law enforcement agency. In Valley County, you can call 228-4333 for dispatch. If you are outside Valley County and don’t know which number to call, call 911.
