 Numeracy  –  Daily  –    1.Practise  your  multiplication  and  division  times  tables.  Remember  to  practise  them  out  of  order  and  as  a  whole  sentence  eg  Four  sixes  are  twenty-­‐four.    Aim  for  quick  recall!  2.  Learn  your  6x,  7x,  8x,9x  and  10x  multilpication  and  division  facts.  Practise  figuring  out  unknown  facts  from  known  facts.  e.g.  if  3x7  =21  then  6x7  =2x3x7=  2x21=42  3.  Practise  solving  problems  on    http://nz.ixl.com/math/year-­‐4  F  1-­‐11,  G  1-­‐21,  H  1-­‐9  and    I  1-­‐17

Guidelines  for  activities  (min  of  5  activities)  Be  ready  with  your  first  activity  by  the  end  of  Week  2-­‐  then  you  and  your  teacher  can  check  together  that  you  understand  how  to  follow  this  guide.  Any  problems,  don’t  worry-­‐please  see  your  class  teacher  EARLY!  ● Time  organisation  –  most  tasks  should  take  you  

between  30  minutes  and  an  hour.    If  you  complete  ONE  task  each  week,  you  should  easily  be  able  to  manage  this  workload.  

● Variety  of  presentation  –  think  about  your  audience  and  how  they  learn  best  e.g.  visual  and  auditory  and  which  presentation  method  best  shows  what  you  have  learnt  and  want  to  share  e.g.  written,  3D,  poster,  brochure  etc.    

● Task  criteria  -­‐  take  time  to  read/identify/clarify  what  this  task  would  look  like  when  successfully  completed.  

● Remember  to  plan  your  tasks  in  advance  and  get  Mum  or  Dad  to  sign  them  off  when  completed.

Religious  Education  ● Read  Galatians  5:22-­‐25.  Choose  3  Fruits  of  the  

Holy  Spirit  and  do  a  Y-­‐chart  in  your  home  learning  exercise  books  of  what  it  looks  like,  feels  like  and  sounds  like,  e.g.  Joy  looks  like  a  smile  on  a  baby’s  face,  sounds  like  laughter  and  feels  like  a  mothers  hug.    Signed:  ____________

● Make  a  lighthouse  model.  You  can  use  some  recycling  materials  e.g.  shoebox  lid,  yoghurt  pot  etc.    Signed:  ____________

Teach  your  parents  The  best  way  to  retain  new  knowledge  is  to  teach  someone  else!    ● Research  and  then  explain  to  your  parents  how
