NEW DELHI, Oct 2:

The armed forces propose toset up three separate commandsin the fields of special opera-tions, cyber security and space,IAF Chief NAK Browne said.

“We are in the process of set-ting up three commands whichwill be steered by particularservice and they will be headedby three-star officers,” he toldDD News in an interview.

He said as per the plans, theSpecial Operations commandwill be headed by an Army offi-cer and the Space command byan IAF officer, while the Cybercommand will get its head onrotational basis from the threeservices.

Browne said the Andaman andNicobar Command, now headedby officers from the three serviceson a rotational basis, will be undera Navy Vice Admiral.

The IAF Chief said a proposalin this regard would soon be sentfor the approval of the Government.

Browne said the IAF wasexpecting to induct the firstsquadrons of the Light CombatAircraft (LCA), the light-weightmulti-role jet fighter, by the endof 2015.(PTI)

Dropping ample hints thatBJP may rake up the issue ofHindutva during the upcomingLok Sabha polls, senior partyleader Ravishankar Prasad todaysaid construction of a temple inAyodhya was an “eternal issuefor millions of Hindus across theworld”.

“I am proud to say that I hap-pened to fight the Hindus’ case inthe Ayodhya title suit on whichthe Allahabad High Court gave itshistoric judgement in our favour.

“I am confident that we willstand vindicated before theSupreme Court as well,” Prasadsaid here at a seminar held tomark the birth anniversary offormer Prime Minister LalBahadur Shastri.

The BJP leader said,”con-struction of a temple at the RamJanmabhoomi in Ayodhya hasnever been an electoral issue forthe party. But, nevertheless, it isan eternal issue for millions ofHindus across the world”.

Training guns at the media“sitting comfortably in Delhi,”Prasad questioned as to “whythey are afraid of questioningthe UP minister Azam Khanover Muzaffarnagar riots.”

They keep targetingNarendra Modi despite there isno instance of communal clashin Gujarat for the last 10 years.

“The city of Ahmedabad wit-nessed scores of riots, in whichthousands of lives were lost, whileGujarat was under the Congressrule. Compare that with the BJPregime and the difference will bethere for all to see.

“Modi has been able tomaintain peace in Gujarat for adecade, Akhilesh Yadav failed todo so here for even a year”.

Attacking Bihar ChiefMinister Nitish Kumar, whosevered 17-year-old bond with

BJP over the elevation of Modi,Prasad alleged that “Biharpolice was forced to hand overtop Indian Mujahideen militantYaseen Bhatkal to the NationalInvestigating Agency withoutconducting any interrogation”.

“The terrorist, who is namedin a number of bomb attacks,had established his network inseveral districts of Bihar, butKumar wanted to sweep thewhole thing under the carpet forvote bank,” he alleged.

However, our opponents willnot be able to withstand a strongwave in favour of BJP andNarendra Modi, which is visibleacross the country, the BJPleader said.

“Ours has been a differentapproach. We view Muslims ascitizens of the country,” the BJPleader said. (PTI)
