NEW DELHI, Aug 26: Congress MP Karan Singh today said citizens were aware of the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution but were not conscious of their duties and responsibilities towards society. Singh said it comes from education which dispels igno- rance, transmits knowledge and liberates the mind. He was delivering the sec- ond memorial lecture in honour of former Union minister Arjun Singh at the Nehru Memorial Museum Auditorium here. Singh spoke about 'Four pil- lars of learning'--learning to know, to do, to live together and to be. He termed the second pillar- -learning to do--as 'karma yog'. He said there was severe mis- match between education and the capacity to do and stressed on revisiting the Indian educa- tion system and setting up of ITI's for providing skill training to empower the youth.
