We leave the capital city of Dublin behind and head towards the magical South West of Ireland. As we travel southwards towards County Cork we will stop in County Tipperary and visit the wonderful

Rock of Cashel. The Rock of Cashel is over 1,000 years old and you will get to see its medieval round tower, chapel, cathedral and castle. A fantastic start to your Overland Ireland tour.

Cork City is often referred to as the REAL capital of Ireland and is one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. We begin our Cork experience with the very necessary “kiss of the Blarney Stone” where you will receive the treasured “gift of the gab”. While at Blarney we will also have time to stroll around its

beautiful grounds and explore the gardens, castle and rock close and enjoy some lunch.

Our day will end in the stunning harbor town of Kinsale which is famed for its culinary culture, deliv-ered by its many award-winning restaurants. The town also has a great tradition of pottery, silver,

gold and glassware manufacturing which can be seen throughout its local shops and galleries. You will also get to see artistic fields such as painting, ceramics, wood turning, sculpture and photogra-

phy, all of which are well represented by some very talented local artists.

Day 1: Sunday – Cork, the Rebel County

Before departing Kinsale, you will be taken on a guided walking tour through the narrow winding streets. The town is known for its long waterfront, yacht filled harbor, castles, forts, galleries, shops,

arts & crafts, and much more. There is no shortage on things to do in Kinsale.

After leaving Kinsale we will journey towards the Ring of Kerry. Our first stop takes us to the beautiful heritage town of Kenmare. The Ring of Kerry is the very definition of the word “scenic” and you will

get to discover many hidden gems including Moll’s Gap, Torc Waterfall and Ross Castle in Killarney National Park. We will bring you on a tour of Ross Castle tour where you will learn what life was really

like behind the stone walls, and there is many a story to be shared!

Tonight we stay in the celebrated cozy coastal town of Dingle. Dingle is the only town on the Dingle Peninsula and this evening is yours to absorb the atmosphere in its famous quirky pubs, fantastic

restaurants and fantastic traditional music sessions.

Day 2: Monday – The Ring of Kerry & The Dingle Penninsula

Our morning begins on Dingle Bay where we take our kayaks to visit the town’s biggest celebrity, Fungie the Dolphin. Alternatively, if kayaking is not your thing, we will take you on a hike up Mount

Brandon where your reward will be a 360-degree panoramic view of Dingle Bay and Castlegregory. If you would like a more relaxed start to your day, why not choose a stroll around the town for some

retail therapy in the local shops.

Our expert guides will take you on a breathtaking trip along the Slea Head Drive and finish off your perfect day at the Dingle Whiskey Distillery. At the distillery you will get to sample their

award-winning whiskey and gin and get an education on the history of whiskey production around the world.

We spend another night in the buzzing town of Dingle, so you don’t need to repack your suitcases. Just relax and enjoy.

Day 3: Tuesday – Dingle

We depart Dingle and start to travel northwards. On our travels we will see the Conor Pass with dramatic drops and encroaching cliffs at every turn as we make our way towards Castlegregory.

This morning we visit the Kerry County Museum which is situated in Tralee. The museum’s main gallery is home to priceless archaeological objects that narrate the story of Kerry’s people and

landscape from the 20th Century.

We say farewell to the South West as we cross the mighty River Shannon by ferry. The crossing brings us into County Clare which is home to both the Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher.

Our cliffs experience will take us by foot across its stunning natural features with the powerful Atlantic Ocean waves crashing in.

The cliffs are one of the most spectacular natural features in Ireland and are sure to leave you lost for words. Our evening is spent in the most welcoming and colourful village of Doolin, the home-town of

traditional Irish music.

Our departure from Doolin is the start of our Galway adventure! Along our route to Galway, we will visit Corcomroe Abbey, a 13th-century Cistercian Monastery and Poulnabrone Dolmen, a portal tomb located in the Burren. We will also take a short stop in the fishing village of Kinvara where we can see

the 16th Century Dunguaire Castle. Next stop, the City of the Tribes, Galway.

Galway is a city that has its medieval history at its very heart. The city centre is made up of winding narrow streets that are home to its many locally owned and brightly painted shops, pubs, restaurants

and galleries. The city is steeped in arts and culture and is a personality that is completely unique.

Galway is also a fantastic “foodie” destination and you will be able to enjoy its many culinary delights on our food tour. On the tour you will be able to enjoy produce and flavors from its many local artisan

food producers. And a day in Galway is never complete without a visit down its pedestrianized streets, which are home to some of the country’s most famous pubs. Expect a great atmosphere,

fantastic traditional music and plenty of craic.

Day 5: Thursday – Galway

After a short drive along the shores of Galway Bay to Rossaveal Pier, we take the ferry to the Aran Islands. We will then arrive on rugged Inishmore, the largest of the three Aran Islands. We explore the

island by jaunting. Our route will take in the stone fort of Dún Aenghus, which lies 100m over the ocean before making our way back to the mainland. And while on the island we have no doubt that

you will pick up a few “gaelic” words.

We return to the mainland and depart Rosaveal Pier to the stunning town of Westport. Our journey to Westport will take in the breathtaking views of Connemara National Park and the Lost Valley which is

part of the famous Famine Trail.

Westport is one of Ireland’s picture-perfect postcard towns, something you will understand once you arrive. Tonight you can unwind with some local craft beers and excellent food and experience the

craic at a traditional Irish music session in Matt Molloy’s bar.

Day 6: Friday – The Aran Islands & Westport

Our morning in Westport begins with a wonderful walking tour of the town and a guided tour of Westport House. Westport House is surrounded by the majestic expanse of Clew Bay, the Atlantic

Ocean and Ireland’s holy mountain, Croagh Patrick. This house spans over 300 years of Irish heritage you will be able to enjoy a myriad of attractions throughout the grounds.

After lunch, we start our journey further north and we will spend the afternoon discovering the wilds of Sligo (William Butler Yeat’s County) before journeying North West through the Gaelic speaking

Donegal. Our accommodation tonight is in the picturesque town of Ardara, County Donegal.

Day 7: Saturday – Westport - Donegal

We will start the day with a magnificent drive over the Glengesh Pass, visit Maghera Beach, caves and the Assaranca Waterfall.We will explore the stone fort of Grianán of Aileach. One of our highlights

will be the stunning views from the hilltop in Inishowen before we cross the border and begin our Northern Ireland experience.

Our next stop is Londonderry, Northern Ireland’s second largest city, and one which is steeped in rich history. The old walled city lies on the west bank of the River Foyle and is true living history. You can choose to join us on a walking tour of the city or take some time out to yourself and explore the city at your own pace and leisure. As well as being famous for its history, this city is also home to many

wonderful shops, a welcome opportunity for some retail therapy.

The Giant’s Causeway is one of the most anticipated features of this tour and it never disappoints. The Causeway Coastal Route is breathtaking and while crossing Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge you will

get to feel the exhilaration of the air beneath your feet while the anticipation builds. Now that your heart is racing, we will visit the Giant’s Causeway on Antrim’s coastline.

Game of Thrones fans will have officially landed in their spiritual home as we will also take a sneak peak at one of its most famous filming locations, The Dark Hedges.

Tonight you will get to experience Belfast by night and spend a wonderful evening browsing this scenic city.

After a whirlwind journey through Ireland, we will finish the trip with a magical tour of Belfast. This tour is optional but is highly recommended. The black cab intimate city tour is the only way to see

and learn about this wonderful city. Alternatively, if you just need to take a breath and chill, you can spend some time exploring the city’s coolest pubs, shops and restaurants.

Next up this afternoon is the full Titanic experience at Titanic Belfast. This splendid interactive visitor center was voted the world’s leading tourist attraction in 2016. Prepare to be moved by the wonderful

stories told about the world’s most famous ship.

Our guides will journey back with you to our bustling capital city, Dublin, armed with recommendations of things to see and do if you have a little time left. Perhaps this is just the perfect

opportunity to sit back and soak up all that you have experienced over the last 10 days.
