Il 76% degli intervistati ha detto di non essere molto soddisfatto della capacità della tecnologia di rendere la loro vita più semplice. Hanno rivelato che preferiscono una tecnologia facile da usare (54%) e che semplifichi la loro vita (46%), piuttosto che una tecnologia che li faccia divertire (35%) o li aiuti a meglio comunicare al mondo se stessi, i loro ruoli e posizioni (11%). Questo si riflette anche nelle preferenze verso i diversi dispositivi tecnologici: i più amati sono tablet e computer, che superano di gran lunga smartphone e videogiochi. L'indice, inoltre, identifica 4 tipi di nativi digitali: Gli “Entusiasti” (37%), appassionati di tecnologia e disposti a sacrificare la semplificazione per l’empowerment personale.
