NFL: The Eagles can finally call themselves World Champions! They defeated the New England Patriots, 41-33 in Super Bowl LII. Nick Foles was named MVP and celebrated the victory with his family at the Super Bowl and Disney World. Fans enjoyed the parade in Philadelphia as they team made their mark on Eagles and Philadelphia history, becoming the first team in franchise history to win the Super Bowl. The NFL Draft will be in April in Dallas. Olympics: The Winter Olympics opened in PyeongChang, South Korea on February 9 with a captivating opening ceremony. Athletes from over 90 countries are competing in the winter games. The United States is represented by 242 athletes, more than any other nation in the games. Currently, Norway leads the gold medal count with 13 gold medals and 35 medals total. The United States has won a total of 21 medals: 8 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals. NBA: The Toronto Raptors have now lead the Eastern Conference with a 40-16 record. The Golden State Warriors have taken the Western Conference lead with a 44-13 record. NHL: The NHL season is continuing as scheduled even though the Olympics are being held in South Korea. The NHL did not allow players to compete in the Olympics which has caused much criticism. The Tampa Bay Lightening lead the Atlantic division with a record of 38-16. The Capitals lead the Metropolitan division with a record of 32-17. The Predators lead the Central division with a record of 34-12. The Golden Knights lead the Pacific division with a record of 37-15.

If you weren’t an officer, what would you want to be?

Officer Carter: I would want to be a counselor because then I would still be able to work with kids.

What is your best year working at Brimm?

This year.

How do you put up with students?

Officer Carter: Patience, and pas-sion. I’m also a mom so I know how to handle kids.

How long have you been working in Camden?

Officer Carter: I’ve been working in the district for 10 years. I have been in R.T. Cream, Creative Arts, Davis, and now Brimm.

How do you like you job?

Officer Carter: I r eally enjoy being an officer. I like interacting with the

Stockton University, is a public 4-year university located in Galloway, NJ with additional locations in Atlantic City, Manahawkin, and Woodbine, NJ.

Stockton University has seven schools including Business, Health and Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and General Studies. Each school offers undergraduate and grad-uate degrees in addition to minors and certificates. More than 850 students are now enrolled in Stockton’s 13 gradu-ate-degree programs.

Stockton University is has more than 130 official student clubs and organizations. Their club organization include weight training, fencing, scuba, Frisbee and many sports. They also have a variety of intramurals including flag foot-ball, volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, soccer, street hockey, and softball. If you prefer the arts, there are performing arts, voice, dance, music, and art including an art gallery.
