The Lion’s Den Dr. Charles E. Brimm Medical Arts High School Class of 2019 Special Edition Class of 2019 Graduation Our journey is measured in smiles, not milesand the Class of 2019 was all smiles and tears of joy on the stage. They thanked their families, staff and each other for reaching this milestone and shared stories about their time at Brimm Medical Arts High School. Those that were shy students freshman year grew into confi- dent young adults. They took risks, pushed themselves and each other, and made the most of their time to- gether. They laughed about how they argued over pep rally shirt colors but are grateful for the love, support and friendship each has given one another. Keynote speaker, Ms. Tameeka Mason, encouraged them to keep climbing their ladder of success. She reminded them that their circumstances may differ, but they should climb for themselves. She also reminded them to always show their gratitude, love themselves, and set out to do what they want to do. As we say goodbye to the Class of 2019 we thank them for the wonderful memories and wish them all the best as they strive above and beyond. Congratulations to the Class of 2019! Ms. Tameeka Mason was the keynote speaker. Ms. Mason graduated from Brimm Medical Arts High School in 2001 later, Rutgers University, Camden. Ms. Mason is dedicated to giving back an serving the people of the Camden Communi- ty. She decided to return to the city she loves and work as the Human Resource Recruitment and Certification Specialist for the Camden City School District. The Watina Kennedy Giving Room Dedication Ceremony

In Loving Memory

Watina Kennedy Ms. Kennedy, a forceful advocate for all educators and students, passed on April 25, 2019. She leaves behind a devoted husband, Rick Kennedy, a loving son, Nathaniel, and many wonderful family members and supportive friends. The Watina Kennedy Giving Room was created to help college bound students. Students can get items for their dorm room at no cost thanks to generous donations from the community and staff. This is one small way to make college affordable for our students and we are honored to name it after Ms. Kennedy. Thank you to Ms. Payton and Ms. Brady for all of your efforts, Ms. Sylmari Pabon for the beautiful artwork, and to all our partners and staff who donated.
