St. James charges us to pray for one another. Let us know how we can pray for you. Our Altar Society will hold your intentions in prayer.

Vocation Prayer for the Society of Jesus

Lord Jesus, you call us to freedom that we might serve your Divine Majesty and help our neighbors,

finding fulfillment in this life and in your eternal kingdom. Hear the cry of those struggling to be free and free the hearts of those yearning to serve you. That our least Society may never want for laborers

to toil with you in the day and watch with you in the night.

And so, proclaim your love at work in all things.

**We need Ushers and Altar Servers! If you would like to help in ministry, we need of: Ushers - at all masses

Altar Servers - at 5:00 pm Saturday, 8:30 & 11:00 am Sunday. Altar Servers must commit to one Sunday a month. (Grade 4 or above)

Please call or email Solveig for more information. Thank you for answering the call to serve in these ministries.

All Saints Day: Mon., Nov. 1., Masses at 8 am, 12:15 & 5:30 pm

All Souls Day: Tues., Nov. 2, 8 am Mass only.

“Litany of Remembrance” sung at the Mass for All Souls and at the weekend Masses on Nov. 6/7.

November 7th we will have our Children and Family

celebration at the 11:00 Mass.

Children will not come forward to sit in the sanctuary during the

Gospel and Homily. But we will have families and children as our ministers.

On Sunday, October 24th our RCIA Inquirers will celebrate the Rite of Acceptance and Welcome

during our 8:30AM Sunday Liturgy!

But what is the Rite of Acceptance & Welcome?

In the Rite of Acceptance & Welcome the Inquirers proclaim publicly their intentions to join the Catholic

Church. There is a change in identity where those previously known as inquirers become a part of the Catholic Church in the Order of

Catechumens and Candidates. The Church officially welcomes the Catechumens and Candidates as disciples and members (albeit not

yet fully initiated) of the community of faith.

Please join us to welcome our Catechumens and Candidates as they continue their formation and journey of faith

with our parish community!

The Knights of Columbus are hosting a rosary for Larry Lyle on October 25th

at 6:00 pm in the church. All parishioners are welcome. Larry’s

funeral is set for Oct. 30th at 10:30 am.

Prayer/Reflection:

“Maker of the Seasons, thank you for all autumn teaches me. Change my focus so that I see not only

what I am leaving behind, but also the harvest and the plentitude

that my life holds. May my heart grow freer and my life

more peaceful as I resonate with, and respond to,

the many teachings this season offers to me.” Joyce Rupp, The Circle of Life

Gonzaga Family Haven: A Thank You!

Dear St. Aloysius Community, It is with a joyful heart that I am writing you. On this day, I was able to witness my daughter and her children move into Gonzaga Family Haven (GFH). I thought my heart would burst with amazement and gratitude as I walked from room to room. There were beds all made up for the children. My daughter’s room was completely made up with sheets, a pillow and a bed spread. My daughter suffers from mental illness. Her 16-year-old daughter has developed these same symptoms. They have been evicted 2 times. There was little hope. Then she applied for GFH where there would be support, guidance, tutoring and counseling. The new home—the new hope—the beautiful furnish-ings are all miracles. I wish I could thank each person who donated. I wish you could see where your donations went. You would be so amazed. My daughter and her children are amazed. Thank you so very much.

A Mother

Gonzaga Family Haven:

Residents are now moving into the first apartment building. 17 welcome baskets (towels, sheets, kitchen utensils,

etc.) have been delivered to that building. The projected move-in date for Building 2 is mid-November. We also hope to provide Welcome Baskets for this group.

Needed items: laundry soap, dish soap, bath towels, sheet sets for queen, full and twin beds, queen blankets and comforters, brooms and dust pans, bath mats, pillows, shower curtains, hangers, pots and pans, pot holders, coffee mugs, dinner plates, salad plates, cereal bowls, and mixing bowls.

Donated items can be placed on the steps in front of the music group or taken to the Parish Center during open hours: (Tuesday-Friday 8:30-1:00)
