They are experimenting with tracks to slow a ball down enough to land in a cup without knocking the cup over. It has been interesting! We will take a look at gravity and how it affects the motion of objects next. 7: The work on the genetic debates has been good. The students are really gaining a strong understanding of their topic and more importantly working on using that knowledge to persuade others to feel the same way they do. 6: The volcano projects were a BLAST! So well done everyone really enjoyed them! We have been working on the geologic column the past few weeks. A HUGE thanks to Mr. Sader for creating a delicious candy bar for us to take “core samples” from it was delicious! We will be conducting our geopancake lab next Monday. We could use several electric griddles for the lab. If you have one that you are willing to let us borrow that’d be great! We promise to return it clean:) 5: We’ve had some fun this week experimenting with light, lenses and mirrors. Our experiment to determine which color of light is best for seed growth is underway! We are all anxious to find out the results! The students will have a test over sound/light on Tuesday. MR. Thursday we will begin discussing chapter 1. 6 Religion: Monday we read and discussed chapter 11. Tuesday students had Reconciliation. Wednesday and Thursday were spent watching a video on the prodigal son, then students had some questions to answer on this parable and two others. 5 Religion: Monday we listened to Twila Paris’s song How Beautiful, about the body of Christ, which I thought appropriate as we discuss the Eucharist. Tuesday students had Reconciliation. Wednesday a few students shared their Marian apparition reports before we went to Mrs. Webb’s room to see who the new pope is.
