Since 3 August a fire has been burning in the municipality of Monchique, in the district ofFaro. This fire already has burned an area over 3 000 ha. At this moment wind directionforecasts suggest this fire has a high potential to affect the urban area of Monchique.Portugal has therefore triggered the Copernicus Emergency Mapping Service to monitor theevolution of the forest fire.The present map shows the fire delineation in the area of Silva(Portugal). The thematic layerhas been derived from post-event satellite image by means of visual interpretation. Theestimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the
