A vila de Odeceixe, no concelho de Aljezur, é uma vez mais o “palco central” do festival E.S.T.A.R. Este é um evento cultural inteiramente gratuito que procura espaços públicos singulares para promover diversos espetáculos de teatro e outras animações de rua. A programação é bastante diversifi-cada com espetáculos de marionetas, objetos, teatro de andas, teatro físico ou café concerto.

The town of Odeceixe, in Aljezur, is once again the centre stage of the festival E.S.T.A.R. This cultural event is completely free and takes place in unique public spaces to promote various theatre shows and street acts. The programme is quite varied and includes puppetry, object shows, stilts, physical theatre, and a café concert.

O escultor Jorge Cabrita e a pintora Monika Matias apresentam aqui uma ex-posição onde a pintura e a escultura dialogam entre si e se perdem algures entre as lendas de Mouras Encantadas antigas e as histórias da modernidade. Através da magia das cores e das formas desvendam as imagens, revelam as figuras e convidam o visitante a quebrar o encanto e a tentar «Desencantar a Moura».

The sculptor Jorge Cabrita and the painter Monika Matias present an exhi-bition where paintings and sculptures of old legends of enchanted Moorish women and modern stories are intertwined. Through the magic of colours and shapes the artists unveil images, reveal figures and invite visitors to at-tempt to break the spell of the Moorish lady.

FolkFaro 2015 No FolkFaro encontram-se as tradições do mundo, ex-pressas na música e na dança. Já na sua 13.ª edição, esta organização do Grupo Folclórico de Faro orgulha--se de ter apresentado na capital algarvia represen-tações de mais de 45 países! A Gala de Abertura, no dia 15 de agosto, no Teatro das Figuras, é uma oportu-nidade dada aos grupos dos quatro cantos do mundo de fazerem a sua estreia na principal sala de espetácu-los do Algarve. Os espetáculos do Folclore Interna-cional sucedem-se diariamente nas restantes noites do Festival no magnífico Largo da Sé.

In FolkFaro traditions from all over the world can be found through music and dance. Already in its 13rd edi-tion, the organiser Grupo Folclórico de Faro is proud to present delegations from more than 45 countries in the Algarvian capital! Groups from the four corners of the world are given the chance to perform for the first time at the Opening Gala on the 15th August, at Teatro das Figuras, the Algarve’s main performance venue. Inter-national folk performances will be taking place every night for the duration of the Festival in the magnificent Largo da Sé.

A III Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica, de 3 a 6 de setembro, decorrerá em Tavira, inserida no Plano de salvaguarda da UNESCO deste Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade e contará com presenças institucionais, mercado de produtores, atividades gastronómicas e oficinas de cozinha, música mediterrânica, estilos de vida saudáveis, aconselhamento e prevenção de doenças cardiovasculares e nutricional, seminários, exposições, jogos tradicionais, animação de rua, tea-tro, visitas guiadas e passeios ao património, entre outros motivos de interesse. O festival “SlowMed”, que decorre em simultâneo, trará à feira a cozinha e os documentários mediterrânicos.

The 3rd edition of the Mediterranean Diet Fair, between the 3rd and 6th September, will be taking place in Ta-vira, as part of the UNESCO Plan for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It will include the presence of institutional bodies, a farmers’ market, food activities and cooking workshops, Mediterranean music, healthy lifestyles, advice and prevention of heart disease, nutri-tion, seminars, exhibitions, traditional games, street en-tertainment, theatre, guided tours and visits to heritage sites, and others. The ‘SlowMed’ Festival, which will be taking place simultaneously, will bring Mediterranean cooking and documentaries to the fair.

A Noite Branca pretende proporcionar aos visitantes um programa cultural e de animação único e inesquecível mas, acima de tudo, momentos de puro prazer e des-contração. O branco é obrigatório e transversal às várias manifestações, que vão da música à animação de rua, da moda à pintura, do novo circo às artes plásticas. Com uma forte componente de dinamização do comércio, as lojas estão abertas pela noite dentro e engalanadas de branco, com montras decoradas a rigor e descontos especiais numa noite inesquecível para todos os que se deslocam a Loulé no último sábado do mês de agosto.

‘Noite Branca’ aims to offer visitors a unique, unfor-gettable cultural programme and, above all mo-ments of pure pleasure and relaxation White is of the essence and across the board, from music to street acts, fashion to painting, Contemporary circus to the arts. As a commercial boost, shops will be open all night long and decorated in white, with their win-dows dressed for the occasion and offering special reductions during this unforgettable night for all those visiting Loulé on the last Saturday of August.
