VBS Meritous students

Accolades for meritorious Vidyabharatians On Oct.2, 2015, Vidyabharati School added another feather in its cap when 4 of its students were honoured for their outstanding achievement in various Scholastic and Co-scholastic disciplines in grade X for the session 2014-15. All the schools in Surya Nagar, Chander Nagar, Brij Vihar and adjoining areas vie every year for these prestigious awards instituted by SCRRB Resident Welfare Association and Samaj Kalyan Parishad. This year also there were around 20 schools that had sent nominations for various categories. Pranay Varshney& Nancy Tyagi were awarded for excellence in academics whereas Shivam Rawat & Kajal Sharma was presented the award for excellence in the field of sports and performing art respectively. The awards were presented to these meritorious students by Mr.Amar Pal, MLA.

16th STATE LEVEL ANUVRAT GEET GAYAN PRATIYOGITA Vidya Bharati School, C- Block, Surya Nagar, organized the 16th State Level Anuvrat Geet Gayan Pratiyogita conducted by All India Anuvrat Nyas on 6th October, 2015 in its premises. Nine schools from the neighbouring areas participated in solo & group song competitions under the Junior and Senior categories. The competition was quite tough and all the participants participated with a lot of zeal & passion. The competition was judged by eminent members of the society & the results are as follows: In the Junior Solo Song category Vidya Bharati School bagged first position and DLF Public School, Sahibabad & Khaitan Public School, Rajender Nagar stood second. In Junior Group Song category the first position was shared by Vidya Bharati & DLF Public School. DLF Public School & Khaitan Public School stood first in the Senior Solo Song category. Vidya Bharati School stood first in Senior Group category while Everest Public School stood second. Ms. Meenakshi Zarabi. Principal, Vidya Bharati School applauded the efforts of all the students and congratulated the winners. She presented a token of Honour to Mr. S M Nahata- Managing Trustee- Akhil Bhartiya Anuvrat Nyas, Mr. V.V Daga- National Convener- Akhil Bhartiya Anuvrat Nyas and Mr. Vimal Gunecha and Mr. Ramesh Kandpal - organizers & Coordinators. In her motivating speech to the students she said that competitions like these are just an endeavour of spreading moral values, ethical living and to enhance the art of living i.e. living with love, purity & harmony and that she firmly believed that through small vows one can take giant leaps of correction. She also took a vow to support the cause Anuvrat at all times.

A Trip to Mr Brown Bakery

Keeping in view the importance of School Educational trips as they are among the most prominent of the formative years, a trip to Mr Brown Bakery, Kaushambi was organized by Vidya Baharati School for Grade V students on 8th and 9th October. Mr.Brown is one of the best bakery shops in India, specialized in preparing and delivering all cake flavors including international flavors for every occasion. At Mr. Brown, all bakery products are of high quality standards. They only use latest Italian equipment to prepare the batter. Students were enthusiastic since the beginning. It was largely a welcome break in the routine for the students. While its purpose was essentially to educate, it was also a fun bonding experience for everyone involved. Students boarded the bus by 9.30 a.m. along their teachers, within half n hour they reached the venue. They were shown the process of baking delicious cakes and muffins hygienically with the use of modern machines. Students were overwhelmed to see the process. They relished delicious burgers and other bakery items which are the speciality of Mr. Brown Bakery. They also bought many items for their families. After the short fun filled trip they returned.

NIE - Annual Teachers Meet

NIE besides catering to the holistic development of students also aims at providing opportunities to teachers and for this, teachers meet is organized annually. This year too, the meet was held on 9th Oct.2015 at Holiday Inn, Mayur Vihar. Teachers from numerous schools in NCR and Delhi participated in this meet. Ms.Sonakshi & Ms. Seema Sinha represented Vidya Bharati School in this meet on the theme- A healthy life in this competitive world. Dr. Piyush a renowned Medical Professional in his talk on Physical well being and stress urged the participants that besides undertaking a few moderate exercises, positive and have realistic goals for themselves. A few yogic exercises which can be done while at work were also demonstrated. There were a few rounds of fun too, where the Chief Guest of the meet Silva, Ms. Goa, 2013, gave sashes and prizes to winners in the category such as Ms. Longest Hair, Ms. Sparkling Smile etc. During the meet, a few teachers who had been associated with NIE since its inception 20 years ago were felicitated by Mr. Puneet Jain, the visionary behind NIE initiative. The teachers thoroughly enjoyed the day as they too got an opportunity to shout, hoot, cheer and behave like students a role reversal which they did not want to miss and cherish throughout their lives.

TRAINING WORKSHOP ROLES,

Date and Venue : 15.10.2015 Vidya Bharati School ( Physics Lab ) The training workshop took place on 15 Oct.2015 at Physics lab in Vidya Bharati School. The agenda for training was planned by Principal Ms. Meenakshi Zarabi along with school counselor Ms. Manu Chaudhary. Time : 10.30 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. Trainer : Manu Chaudhary Agenda : School Drivers Roles & Responsibility 1. Opening an introduction about school drivers. 2. Roles and responsibilities of a driver and support staff. 3. Student safety and bus safety. 4. Attitude of a driver. 5. Traffic rules. Participants : Bus Drivers, Conductors and Support Staff. WORKSHOP : The workshop was opened with the introduction of school drivers and support staff.The workshop was presented using power point presentation.There were about 30 members participated in this workshop.There was an interactive session were the members were asked to give their responses and experiences about various aspects like driving ,license,uniform,safety measures and traffic rules. Overall response was most of the rules were followed by all participants. Outcomes of the Training Workshop : Participants agreed on the following : 1. To follow the rules and responsibilities 2. To stress the importance of following traffic rules. 3. To follow safety measures. Recommendations by the participants: 1. To conduct more workshops from time to time. 2. uniform and good shoes.

Morning filled with unlimited fun and frolic for grandparents and students.

What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort, lessons in life. Keeping this in mind, with a sense of positive anticipation, enthusiasm and passion Vidya Bharati School (VBS), Celebrated

a fun event for kids and grandparent on 17 OCTOBER 2015.The Grandparents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities, VBS celebrated this special day to honour them. A health camp was organized for the Grandparents wherein a team of specialists from the hospital performed free checkups and gave tips on healthy living. To express the solidarity and gratefulness towards Grandparents the plethora of events has been organised. It was a wonderful morning well planned with a number of games, gala events for the day. The grandparents were given token of gratitude each to remind them about the fabulous day well spent in the Vidya Bharati School in their honour. The principal Mrs. Meenakshi Zarabi thanked the grandparents for gracing the occasion with their presence. The school campus was packed to capacity and grandparents and children left the venue on a cheerful note.

Highlights of assembly

The assembly opened with a warm welcome by the students of pratap house, followed by morning prayer. The theme of assembly: United Nation Day, was shared by students.

The thought for the day, news (national,international and sports) and weather forecast was told.

TEACHERS TALK: The teacher shared what is UN day all about: its history, how was it formed and its relevance in the present.

The students of pratap house presented a skit on UN day in which they told about the members of UN, the main objectives and principles of UN and the major criticism of UN.

Best dressed students and students having birthdays were called upon the stage.

The assembly was concluded by National Anthem.

Highlights of assembly :

Good anchoring by students. A poetry on Dussehra was recited. News for the day was covered ( national, international and sports ). Students were made familiar with four French words. Birthday celebration was held. Best dressed student were appreciated.

Analysis :

Entire class participated in the assembly (directly or indirectly) enhancing their teamwork and coordination, thus achieving the purpose of the assembly.

GEET GAYAN COMPETITION BY BHARAT VIKAS PARISHAD

On 31st October 2015, the students of VIDYA BHARATI SCHOOL brought laurels to the school once again when they secured 1st prize in state level singing competition in Hindi & Sanskrit songs. The self composed song by the music teacher Mrs. Neeta Sharma & rhythm by Mr. Anil Kumar with the theme based on patriotism touched the chord of the audience. More than 10 Schools participated in this event which was organised at Indraprastha Engineering College, Sahibabad . Individual trophies were given to each participating students.

Meritorious Students

It is a matter of great pride and honour for Vidya Bharati School, Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad, to introduce our child prodigies. These young lads have achieved feat that not only brings smile to our face, make us stand tall but has been made possible only due to their tireless effort, hard work, dedication and strenuous practice. We salute these young heroes. SARTHAK TYAGI, a student of grade IX represented the School in CBSE Cluster Championship 2015 in Taekwondo and Won Bronze Medal in the under 19 in under 75 kg. category. The event was held in _Radiant Star Englih School from 11.oct15 to 15Oct.2015.This is in fact not his first brush with accolades as he had earlier won Bronze medal in National Championship.Sarthak got interested in Taekwondo when he was in grade V as he found it quite different from the other sports . In the school itself he got the opportunity to persue the sport of his choice.

Our other outstanding achiever is VIKRANT SHARMA, a student of grade XII H1.He represented the School as a participant in 8th Junior National Tchouckball Championship 2015 at Haridwar from 30.Sept.2015 to 4.Oct.2015 in junior category. This sport is relatively a new game and the rawness of the sport is what drew, Vikrant to this amazing game. He was introduced to this game by

ncy of Vikrant.

11 years old Dikshant Kumar is a student of class VI and he has been participating in various painting & drawing competitions since the age of 3. His painting was exhibited International Painting Exhibition 2015 and won accolades. His following achievements in various Painting Competitions make him stand apart from the rest.

JANVI Janvi , a student of class VI is a Karate & taekwondo champion. She has won many medals in the same field. She recently received a Special Invitation by the Karate Association of India which is duly recognized by the World Karate Federation, to participate in National Championship at Vishakhapatnam from 30th October 2015 to 1st November 2015.
