Tomorrow’s harvest depends upon today’sploughing and sowing.”In Greek mythology, Gaea is the primordial deity, the spirit of Earthwho birthed all forms of landscape , flora and fauna. Gaea representsan all loving, nurturing and a divine cosmic force which ensures life onearth.GAEA – 2K21- A Clarion Call for Environmental Renaissance, is asedulous striving of VBCV to catalyze the green thumbs into actionand empower them to promulgate their concern about environmentaldegradation and environmental reconstruction . This multi-event festbears a polyphonic manifestation of the theme of the present year asproclaimed by Earth Day Network which is ‘Restore our Earth’. Ideally,this celebration would be a clarion call to the youth to obliteratechurlish attitude and to reinstate their belief in the adage, “ Thepoetry of the earth is never dead.”I cordially welcome all school Principals to register participation oftheir students in International Mother Earth Day Celebration. Let’sadorn ourselves with the effervescence of beauty embedded innature ,that beauty which invariably connects us with the variouselements of Gaea.

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

GENERAL GUIDELINES1. All events will be conducted through virtual mode.2. All events are open for schools across India andabroad.3. One entry per event will be accepted from schools.4. The Teacher In-charge of the participating schoolsmust register for the events through a given Googleform link :-https://forms.gle/bfvFU35HEvngJwNr65.The registration forms will be considered valid only ifit is complete in all respects, and received via Googleform link. No email entries will be accepted.6. The participants are requested to follow theguidelines furnished event - wise to qualify for thecompetition.7. All the entries need to be submitted through the linkwhich will be provided for uploading entries( via Whats App groups) and the file name ofvideo, PPT, picture, etc. should specify SCHOOL CODEprovided to schools after registration.8.The participant should introduce himself/herself inthe beginning of the video, using school code only.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

9. To ensure fair judgement, the presentation shouldbe in English only.

10. The time limit of each entry should not exceedthe time limit mentioned event wise .

11. Decision of the jury will be final and binding andthe result will be declared on April 22, 2021.

12. E-certificates will be conferred on all theparticipants and position holders.

13. Any entry found against the guidelines mentionedabove shall stand disqualified.

14. For further queries, you may contact therespective event coordinators, between 9:00 AMto 4:00 PM.

15. Dress code – For events where costume is notrequired , students need to be wear greenT-Shirt with blue, black or brown lowers.

16.ENTRIES RECEIVED BEYOND THE DUE DATE WILLNOT BE ACCEPTED.

JUNGLE CHARADES

Rules for Entry1. Only one participant per school is allowed.2. Participant needs to prepare a mask using disposable paper

plates.3. Participant is required to make two videos. First video- time

lapse of 2 minutes demonstrating the making of kite.Second video will be an unedited presentation video of 1minute where the student is required to explain the idea.

4. The participant is required to introduce himself/herself atthe beginning of both videos by mentioning the school codeonly.

5. To ensure fair judgement, presentation video needs to be inEnglish only. (Avoid using Hindi or any other language)

6. The participant should wear the mask for presentationagainst a green background .(Eg: garden)
