• Constructed in 1562 AD to meet the irrigation needs

• Drinking water source from 1884 to 1930.

• Total catchment area = 240 Sq. km

• Maximum water spread area of the lake = 5.7 Sq. km

• Present Water spread area @ FTL = 4.81 Sq. km

• Shore line length = 14 km

• Volume of the Lake at spill level = 27.18 Mcum

• Average depth at full capacity = 5.02 m

• Full Tank Level (FTL) = 513.43 M
