Dr. Gopal Krishna NayakB.Tech. (IIT, Kharagpur), PGDM (IIM, Bangalore), Ph.D. (IIT, Kharagpur) Director and Professor of Computer Science & Engineering

Dr. Nayak is one of the founding professors of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has spent over 19 years there. He held many leadership roles in XIM-B: Area Coordinator -Information Systems, Admissions Coordinator, Dean and Member of the Board. Before entering into academics, Dr. Nayak had spent a few years in the Industry. He enjoys playing with Technology and Programming. Two of his most significant creations are the Hibiscus, an ERP system for Institutes of Higher Learning and the PAMIS, a Project based Accounting and Monitoring Information System. Prof. Nayak also provides strategic advice to IDCO, CESU and many other State Government Depts. His research interests include Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Process Mining and ERP. He is a professional member of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE Computer Society & Society of Operations Management.

Heis associated with the Institute since its inception in 2006. He served as a visiting Professor of manyreputed Institutes in the field of Digital Electronics, Computer Organization and Architecture. His currentresearch interests are in the field of Computational Finance and Computer Architecture.

Prof. Dash teaches subjects like Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Programming in C, Computer Graphics and Digital Image processing. His area of interest is Computer Vision with more focus towards augmented reality. He has 3 .5 years of work and teaching experience. Some of his previous research publications include works related to image segmentation, Indian currency recognition. Currently, he is working on Augmented Reality and its applications in education.

Lipika DasPh.D. (Utkal)Assistant Professor of Humanities

Prof. Satapathy teaches Chemistry to freshmen, Material Sciences and Environmental Engineering to Sophomores. Her teaching interests are Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Materials Science. She is researching on Synthesis and Characterization of New and Novel Polymer, Advanced Composites and Organic Solar Cell. She has published over 18 research articles. She also is a lifetime member of Odisha Chemistry Society (OCS) and Association of Chemistry Teacher (ACT).

Prof. Das’s teaching interests lie in the areas of Business and Technical Communication, Linguistics, Corporate Readiness and Interpersonal Skills, Personality Development and Translation Studies. She teaches freshmen Business Communication and also conducts lab sessions on the same. She is a professional member of Indian Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies and a permanent member of Shakespeare Society of India. She has 9 publications to her name till date and researches on Shakespeare Translation.

Prof. Nayak teaches Engineering Mathematics, Optimization in Engineering, Discrete Mathematics & Numerical Mathematics. His areas of interest include Optimization Techniques using Interior Point Method, Qua-dratic Programming, Semidefinite Programming Problem, and Support Vector Machine & Multi Choice Programming Problem. He is a member of IACSIT. He has published 5 research papers in international journals and 3 papers in conferences.

Prof. Panigrahi is an advanced scholar of American Literature. Her areas of research interests include English Fictions, Postcolonial Literature, Communication Studies, Critical Theory, English Literature & Language Teaching and Sanskritist Studies. She is a Fullbright Fellow. She is the State Convener for the Fullbright Fellowship Programme. She has authored two books on communication. She is a professional member of ISTE, ELTAI, USIS and ICA, Fullbright Alumni Association. She has been a visiting faculty to universities in India and abroad.

Prof. Kundu is working in the field of Open-Channel Hydraulics, Sediment Transport, Application of Entropy Theory and Fractional Differential Equations in Hydraulics. He has authored 15 research articles in reputed International and National journals and conference proceedings. He has received the 'Young Scientist' award from VIRA in 2016. His teaching interest includes Engineering Mathematics and Numerical Analysis.
