National Seminar on Innovation in Digital Learning
National Seminar on Innovation in Digital Learning (NSIDL) was organized by Computer Society of India-SIET Student Branch in association with Computer Society of India Allahabad Chapter on February 11-12, 2017 at Shambhunath Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET), Allahabad.
Inaugural Session
NSIDL was inaugurated by Chief Guest- Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Vice Chancellor, Allahabad State University and Guest of Honour- Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Director, MNNIT, Allahabad by lighting the ceremonial Lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana by students.
Dr. K.K. Tewari, Secretary, Utthan & Shambhunath Group of Institutions(SGI), Allahabad, welcomed the guests and participants and briefed about the activities & milestones achieved by UTTHAN NGO, SIET & SGI.
Professor M.M. Gore, Chairman, CSI Allahabad Chapter & Dean, MNNIT, Allahabad briefly introduced the audience about the CSI and NSIDL.
Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Director, MNNIT, Allahabad & Guest of Honour delivered Keynote Address and highlighted the importance of innovations in the design & development of digital resources for learning, teaching & research.

Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Vice Chancellor, Allahabad State University in his Inaugural Address emphasized on the necessity for adoption of pedagogical & technological tools for teaching.
Er. Mithlesh Mishra, Vice Chairman, CSI Allahabad Chapter expressed gratitude to the guests & delegates of the NSIDL and delivered vote of thanks.
Technical Session-I
Dr. Brijendra Singh, Professor, Lucknow University delivered an invited talk on Importance of Digital Learning in Digital India.
Dr. G.P. Sahu, Associate Professor, MNNIT, Allahabad, delivered invited talk on Green Computing.
Technical Session-II
Er. Mithilesh Mishra, Vice Chairman, CSI Allahabad Chapter delivered talk on Computer, Content and Connectivity.
Technical Session-III
Dr. Pawan Chakravorthy, Associate Professor, IIIT, Allahabad delivered an invited talk on Virtual Reality & Cloud Computing. Session was very interactive.
Technical Session-IV
Dr. Lokendra Mishra, Associate Professor, Ewing Christian College, (Deemed University), Allahabad delivered talk on Securing Digital Information using Cyber Forensic.
Er. Ranjeet Kumar, IIIT, Allahabad delivered talk on Copyright Issues: Digital Learning in Digital Era.
Technical Session-V
Online Software Quiz–EUPHEUS organized by the Coordinators-Sri Harshit Gupta, Sri Gaurav Shukla & Sri Rishank Kesharwani, B.Tech., CSE 3rd year students. Sri Nikhil Kumar Pankaj, B.Tech., CSE 2nd year Student of SIET was declared Winner while Ms. Shipra Agarwal, B.Tech., CSE 3rd year Student, SIET and Sri Mohd. Fahim Anwar, B.Tech., CSE 2nd year student of SIET were 1st & 2nd runner up respectively. Contributed papers were also presented in this session.

Valedictory Session
Panel discussion on Bridging the gap between the Curriculum and IT Industry Requirements held. Dr. K.K. Tewari, Secretary, Utthan welcomed the guests and panelists.
Dr. Shirshu Verma, Associate Professor & Placement Cell Incharge,, IIIT, Allahabad highlighted importance of training on soft skill sets.
Dr. G.P. Sahu, Associate Professor, MNNIT, Allahabad emphasized the need of proactive support from the faculty members to adopt online learning resources
Prof.D.K. Dwivedi, Patron, CSI Allahabad Chapter & General Chair, NSIDL informed about the various online professional courses to earn certifications on technical and soft skills which is currently in great demand by the Industry.
Prof. K.P. Mishra, Former Vice Chancellor, Nehru Gram Bharti University, Allahabad & Former Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Chief Guest emphasized the need for regular Industry-Academia meets and revision of curriculum as per the current market requirements.
