OptiSec – optimal drying of fresh manure from poultry houses and fermentation substrates from biogas plants
OptiSecisamanuredryingtunnelfromBigDutchmanwhichwasdevelopedforoptimumdryingoffreshorpre-driedmanurefromcagesystemsandaviaries.Drymattercontentsofupto90%arepossible.Thiscreatesidealconditionsforsafestorageandfurtherprocessingoptions.
OptiSecisavailablewith4to14tiersandischaracterisedbyitslargeintakeca-pacity,whichisachievedthankstoitslargebeltwidthof1.78m.Dependingonthesizeofthefarm,everytunnelisplannedbasedontheamountofaccumulatingmanure.Onebelt-dryingtunnelcanbeusedtodry
themanurefromupto200,000layinghens.ItisalsopossibletouseOptiSecfordryingoffermentationsubstratesfrombiogasplantsorseparatedsolidsfromliquidmanure.Letourexpertsadviseyoutofindthebestsolutionforyourindividualrequirements.

How it worksWhenthemanureremovalprocessisstarted,thefreshmanure(min.30%drymattercontent)istransportedfromthebarntothefillingstationofthedryingtunnel.Theamountofmanureputonthemanurebeltisdeterminedbyweightmeasuredbyelectronicloadcells.Theloadcellscoordinatethespeedsofboththemanurebeltsinsidethebarnandthebeltsofthedryingtunnel.Twocounter-rotatingaugersthenspreadauniformlayerofmanureontothetopmostdryingbeltandsubsequentbeltsuntilthefillingprocessisfinished.Anemergencystoponeverytierensuresthatnomajordamageoccursincaseofmalfunctioning.

Forthedryingprocess,warmexhaustairispushedintothepressurecorridoratupto4m3/handbird.Inthecorridor,theairpassesthroughalltiersofthedrying
tunnelfromonesidetotheotheralongitsentirelength.Theperforatedmanurebeltsensurethatthewarmairpassesnotonlyoverthemanurebutpassesthroughthe
manure,whichmakesforconsiderablybettermanuredrying.Theresultisadrymattercontentofupto90%!
Thefillingstationisintegratedintothetoptierofthemanuredryingtunnel.Thiseconomicsolutionhasthefollowingadvantages:4 noadditionaltierrequired,which meansthatthetunnelheightcanbe reducedbyonetier;4 noadditionalmanurebeltdrive required.Thequantityofmanurearriving,thespeedofthebeltsandthespeedofthetwodistributionaugersarewellcoordinated,thusensuringanevendistributionofthefreshmanureonthedryingbelts.Thisisoneofthemainprerequisitesforauniformdryingprocess.
ChopperThechopperconsistsofafastrotatingshaft,whichisequippedwithchainlinksofapproximately20cmlength.Theychopupthemanurechunksbeforetheyarefullydried,whichmakesforconsiderablymoreuniformmanuredrying.4 thedriveunitisinstalledontheout- side,whichprotectsitfromdirtand facilitatesmaintenance;4 twoeasy-to-opendoorsfacilitate cleaningandmaintenance.

Themanurebeltdrivefeaturesanewpressureunit,whichmakesforanim-provedpowertransmission.Thisallowspullingofthe1.78mwidebeltsloadedwithfreshmanure.Themanurebeltsareperforatedandthusensureanoptimaldryingofthemanure.Themanurebeltsareredirectedbymeansofanaugerwithboth-sidedconveyingdirection.Itensuresthatdustandmanurearetransportedtobothsidesontothenext
levelforatrouble-freeredirectionofthemanurebelt.Beneaththebottomtier,anadditionalsolidbeltwithoutperforationsisinstalled,whichcollectssmallparticlesanddustfromalltiers.Whenthedrymanureisremoved,thesolidbeltisalsocleanedsothatthefloorbeneaththetunnelremainsclean.

Belt rollerThebeltrollerconsistsofagalvanizedtubeontowhichplasticrollsarefitted.Therollsareformedinsuchawaythatthemanurebeltrestsontherollerincertainplacesonly.Themanurebeltperforationsarethereforenotcoveredbytherollerswhichensuressufficientcirculationofairalsointhisarea.
