    Dear families~ March 21st, 2014

    The following homework is due by FRIDAY, March 28th:

    Do one session of ScootPad Spelling, Math, and read an eBook

    Have your child read and record it on March of Dimes & Book-It forms

    (The last day for reading is the 31st, then the form & money must be

    mailed to the March of Dimes office by April 15thto receive a medal.) Study our new Word Wall Words and review ones from past weeks

    Our new SPELLING WORDS are:

    Mar 28th- CAMP CRONCE T-shirt money due Mar 31st- March of Dimes reading ends, $ and book list due by the 15thto the

    address listed at the bottom of the book list. I cant wait until medal time! Apr 25th- Save the date! We will be attending the Earth Fair at Goodells

    County Park! (More information will follow as I receive it.) Apr 28th- Camping basket deadline for Fun Fair- I need helpers for this May 2nd- 5-8:00 Spring Fun Fairat Edison (Our basket will be raffled off)

    Your authors Bare Books turned out beautifully and are displayed for the class on ourAuthors ledge. The kids love taking each others books to a quiet place in the room and

    reading them. What a great way to celebrate our young authors!!!

    At the March PTA meeting, I learned that Edison will be having a Family Fun Fair on May2ndfrom 5-8 pm. Each class is being asked to create a basket to be raffled off. Id liketo stick with the camping theme, so if you have any ideas or would like to be part of theteam that collects/arranges, let me know!

    Next weeks story will be called My Robot and I would like to build our own robots in classout of clean, recycled materials: bottle caps, small boxes, string, bread ties, pipecleaners, toilet paper/paper towel tubes, etc. A donation of a few boxes of TIN FOILwould be greatly appreciated as well to add the finishing touches. Please have all itemsto class by Friday, the 28thfor building/writing about our robots. Thanks!
