St. Gregory Catholic School 32nd Annual Dinner and Auction Saturday April 6th, 2019

Denim & Diamonds DINNER AND AUCTION Here’s the Info…

What is the dinner and auction? Our dinner and auction is an annual event at STG, from which the proceeds benefit the school operating budget, directly impacting tuition and fees helping to keep

them as low as possible. (Without the dinner and auction we would have to raise tuition for every student). On Apr 5th, at 5:30 p.m. our DINNER AND AUCTION begins. A silent auction, with over 200 items, will be set up on tables in Gordon Hall and the cafeteria. A no-host bar will

be serving beer, wine, margaritas and mixed drinks; delicious, complimentary appetizers will be available. Guests check-in on the east entrance of Gordon Hall, receive a program,

a bid number and a nametag. And the fun begins! The silent auction tables close and then Dinner will be served. There will be raffles &

games throughout the night & a final Live auction with some super special items to bid on. As you can imagine, all this activity takes a lot of energetic volunteers. Each year we

have a lot of fun planning, organizing, and carrying out this fundraising frenzy at St. Gregory’s. Come on, be a part of this great night!

We NEED YOUR HELP to make this a successful evening! There are several ways for you to join in & help. Check them out…

1. Get Donations!!!!! Get Donations!!!!! Get Donations!!!!! Get Donations!!!!! 2. Attend this wonderful event and bring some Friends and Family to join you! 3. Volunteer your time & talents :-)

1. We need donations small and LARGE! Our hope is that each St. Gregory family will solicit or donate three items for this event. Many businesses are willing to make a donation, but they have to be asked! By tapping into our collective resources we should be able to have the wonderfully eclectic collection of items, theme baskets and gifts for which the St. Gregory auction is known. (See “Ideas on what to donate on the back”). We could also use Cash underwriting to cover our many expenses. We have included a donation letter & form. Please feel free to copy & use to request donations!!

2. We need people to be there! It’s always true, the more the merrier! And in this case, it is even better because the more people who join us the more money we make for our students, which is what this is all about!! So mark your calendars and invite your friends, family, coworkers for music, dancing and more.

3. We need help to put it all together! Building to the big event there will be much preparation. We will need to put baskets together, mail invitations, create decorations, set up & so much more. Please keep your eye out for these volunteer opportunities and raise your hand when your time & talents are available.

We are SUPER EXCITED about this year’s auction & look forward to having a great night with you all! Thank you in advance for all of your help!!!

St. Gregory Dinner & Auction 2020 Student Prize Program

LUNCH TIME BINGO WAS A HIT last year, so we are doing it again!!

Here is how it works and how your students get to participate.

We will have lunch time BINGO every Wednesday beginning Feb 19th. Students can earn BINGO cards to play in a variety of ways (listed below). They can earn

multiple cards to play at lunch & if they do so, we will give them one each week until the final week when they can play however many they have remaining. There are lots

of prizes to win, so each lunch there will be many opportunities for them to shout “BINGO!”

So, how do they earn cards? Do one or more of the following: - Bring in a Donation valued at $25 or more - Acquire $25 or more of underwriting - Sell a ticket to the event - two cards per ticket sold -Parent volunteers to help (can be night of or in preparation)

Bonus Raffle for an Apple Watch & an Electric Scooter This big raffle will take place on the Friday before the auction. Right now the grand prizes are the Apple Watch and an electric scooter, but we are working on getting a few other items to raffle off. They will earn a raffle ticket every time they earn a bingo card. In addition there will be other opportunities announced up until the date of the final raffle.

—-Here’s the first extra raffle entry opportunity. All students who get their classroom project contribution into their teacher on or before March 13th will be

entered into the raffle (this does not mean a Bingo card, just a raffle entry)—-

****For all prizes please note that each act is for one child. If you have multiple children each time you need to designate which child the prize/card/ticket goes to, otherwise the default is the youngest child in the family.****

We are excited to get started! Please feel free to contact us with any questions. .

Dear Friends of St. Gregory’s Catholic School,

This year, St. Gregory Catholic School is delighted to be hosting our 33rd Annual Dinner and Auction – Denim & Diamonds! This wonderful event will be held Saturday, April 25, 2020. As parents of St. Gregory students, we would be grateful and honored if you would consider participating in this special evening by donating an auction item or by making a monetary donation. Proceeds from this year’s event will be used toward meeting our commitment set by Shea Homes for classroom renovations and upgrades to our cafeteria’s air conditioning system. Our mission includes providing the very best educational opportunities for our children in a loving environment, and with your help we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the community for all.

For your participation, we would like to offer added value back to your business or organization, by recognizing sponsors like you in all our printed materials, bulletins, and by highlighting you publicly throughout the evening. We would need your logo, and any other materials you would like us to promote on your behalf at this fun event. Our families are very aware and loyal, and we would be delighted to encourage our community to patronize your place of business as well.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness. To make this process easy and seamless for you, please complete the enclosed donation agreement form and return it before April 10, 2020.

We believe St. Gregory’s has been an integral part of the community, cultivating young hearts and minds for many decades. With your help, we will continue to help influence another generation of responsible and inspired servant leaders. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please call the Cynthia Orr at 480 748-9005 or email [email protected]. Again, thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

The Dinner & Auction Committee St. Gregory Catholic School
