Google Apps Are Here!

You’ve all probably heard about it by now. Maybe your child(ren), a teacher or a friend told you. Google Apps is the new Buzz at the Middle School!

To give you some background, the district was looking for some way to make sharing information and home-work easier for the students, parents and teachers. Google Apps fit the bill be-cause it is internet-based. That means that it has a format that any machine (PC or Mac ) can read. It has already saved us from many of the format issues we have seen in the past. In addition,

students need to remember only one user id and one password. Previously, we had two - one for the network and one for BlackBoard.

Students can sign on to our closed system through the Cazenovia web page at www.caz.cnyric.org. All in-formation included in our system can

only be seen by people who have accounts through the school. It is not open to the rest of the world. Once signed

in, students can find homework as-signments in their Documents or at-

tached to an event on their class cal-endars, depending on how the teacher has set it up. Students need to remember two things: name their homework using the format the teacher has shown them and share their completed work with their teacher. All students have been shown how to do this. If they have any problems doing either of these, please have them let their teacher know.

That’s the quick overview. If you have any questions, we are here to help.

Once you watch the musical Seussical, you’ll be dying to get back home and reread all your old favor-ite Dr. Seuss books. The junior high cast of “Seuss” characters include Trevor Nourse (The Cat in the Hat), Tim Kempton (Horton the Elephant), Zachary Max-well (JoJo), Emily Kielbasinski (Gertrude McFuzz), Lillie Hunt (The

Yates, Ari Becker, McKinley Denni-son, Maleigha Ellithorpe, Mackensie Gregg, Janie Kempf, Elizabeth Riha and Hannah Scanlon. The Cazenovia Junior High Drama Club will hold three performance of Seussical the Musical: Thursday, November 3rd at 4:30 pm
