Objective of site visit

To observe the different activities and techniques carried out on site.

To explore the various types of building materials and machinery used on site.

Aware of the items measurable for sub-structure and reinforced concrete frame works.

To have a feel of how the condition of the site really is and how safety is a priority.

To have an up-close view of the entire building structure as opposed to seeing it in the drawings.

Details of the project

Conclusion

From this site visit, I have experienced for the first time what it feels like to be in a construction site and I can say it is pretty exciting. Apart from the experience, this site visit also helps me to visualise the items that needs to be measured and how it is properly placed in real time. I also see that safety is very important in the site especially for us newbies. It also seems like a good place to talk to some of the people involved to get more insight on this field. Teamwork is also important at a site that’s where different professions come together to work on the project. For it to work, the team must rely on each other and must constantly interact with one another.
