Pastor’s Notes: What a great spirit in the House of God this pas t Sunday! No, we were not shouting and running the aisles, but the Spirit of the Lord was in in House. Many times, the  people of God are challenged in their walk and in their life. Sunday, the Lord challenged us to  be free from sin and to examine our walk. I try and do this DAILY! I want nothing to hinder me or to hinder the work of God. We compared the disease leprosy (a type in the Bible for sin), caused 4 main things: 1) disfigurement ….si n will do the same t hing. It will make y ou look like and become something you were never intended to be. 2) deterioration    leprosy would cause fingers & toes, hands and feet to fall off. Sin will rob you, steal from you, yank from you things so precious in your life. 3) distance   lepers had to be removed from family and friends and be moved to leper colonies. Sin will cause y ou to be distant from family and friends and can eventually cause you to live in differe nt places (physically and spirit ually). 4) KILL YOU    leprosy was a slow killer. It took 10 to 30 years sometimes before it would take the life of someone. The Bible says the wages of si n is death! Sin wants to utterly destroy y ou. However the Bible also says that Chri st came that we might have LIFE and have it MORE ABUNDTANTLY!!!!! I choose life! I choose freedom from sin. I choose the ways of Christ! It is a conscience decision and a purposeful walk. If your eyes are clouded……get wash ed in His blood. If your decision making is clouded…..get washed in his blood. “What can wash away my sins; nothing  but the blood of Jesus!”. If you are interested in going on a missions trip to Honduras (during the month of April), meet with Pastor Terry Tuesday evening, October 29th at 7:00 PM in the CLC Dining room. The trip is tentatively planned for the week of Spring break which I believe is April 7-12. Please, please, PLEASE……sign up if you are planning on decorating your car for trunk or treat. We want this to be the best year yet!! !! What a great opportunity for us to touch the lives of the unchurched and the unsaved. What a great opportunity for fellows hip among fellow believers! What a great time!! !!! Wednesday, October 30 at 6:30 (note the time change…..got to get the kids home and in the bed early, plus we’re expecting a HUGE crowd!)
