MobiWay: Integrated Platform for Intelligent Transportation Systems of Tomorrow Project PN-II-PT-PCCA-2013-4, No. 16/2014 Problem Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) aim to assist drivers make informed decisions: selecting better routes, departure times, and various modes of travel. They use Big Data collected from sensors allover the city. However, most of current ITS platforms are too focus and lack synergy with newly introduced ITS services. This leads to difficulty to introduce a new service from the scratch, since the required quantity of data will hinder the quality of the service itself. Objective MobiWay proposes the development of a collaborative platform to support ITS applications by acting as a middleware connection hub. It provides: - Optimal support to ITS partners and municipalities through data sharing and ITS support service integration. - A platform of ecosystems, which allows engaging communities in exploiting the shared value of mobility.
