Columbus Based Wyandotte Winery to acquire Rockside Vineyards in LancasterColumbus, Ohio (September 9, 2014) — Wyandotte Winery LLC located in Columbus, Ohio,

has entered into an agreement with Rockside Vineyards LLC located in Lancaster, Ohio, to purchase the winery and vineyards. Both wineries will continue to produce unique, high-quality wines that leverage the strengths of each location.

“Wyandotte is tucked into a neighborhood setting, a unique location for a winery.” said Robin Coolidge, co-owner and Winemaker at Wyandotte Winery. “Our unique location makes it very difficult for us to plant additional vineyards or expand our facility. Rockside has 4.5 acres of established vineyards, 17 total acres available to expand and grow, and a solid portfolio of hand crafted wines produced mostly from fruit grown on the property. Wyandotte and Rockside will continue to operate independently, and both will continue to produce unique, high quality wines in small lots using traditional winemaking methods. We will provide wine lovers with an exceptional, but different, winery experience at each location.” The winery is a beautiful and unique location for private events. Rockside Winery and Vineyards is a little slice of wine country right in central Ohio’s back yard.

President and CEO of Part Time Works, Brad Feldman, is featured in the current (October) issue of Columbus CEO magazine. The article highlights how small businesses and nonprofits

in central Ohio are effectively utilizing professional part-time staff members to advance their business goals. It creates a mutually beneficial work environment for both the professional and the business. For the complete article see www.columbusceo.com and click on Features.

Business Growth WorkshopSeptember Recap

On September 17th, the chamber presented “How Can Technology Make You More Efficient?” sponsored by Pathways Financial Credit

Union. Facilitated by Ron Smith with SOH Productions along with panelists; Jeff Schwartz, owner, founder and President of Innovative Technology Support and Roy Holcombe, Representative for RevLocal, highlights from the following areas were discussed.

• Understand the value. Most organizations have only a basic grasp on the value that technology can create. To reap the rewards from technology at owners need to push themeselves and their teams to understand better what they can gain from technology and to match priorities and investments with the areas of highest value.

• Focus on organization-wide impact. Companies expect much of their near-term growth to be driven by technology, but impact remains elusive. What’s more, effective organizational structures, accountability, and meaningful metrics and incentives are largely lacking. As executives become more involved in technology efforts, they must work to ensure that their structures and business processes are set up to take full advantage of the opportunities that technology and digital efforts offer.

• Prioritize talent. Building and acquiring technical and functional skills, as well as creating an environment that encourages development and retention, will be key to maintaining competitive parity and driving growth in the near term.

Join us as we present the next Business Growth Workshop, “Networking with LinkedIn” on Wednesday, November 19th 11:30am - 1:00pm at Comfort Suites E. Broad St., 70 Chris Perry Lane, Columbus 43213. Lunch will be provided compliments of our host.

Fee: $5 members and $6 guests, Register at GahannaAreaChamber.com/Events.
