How fun was the Dancing with the Stars February social? A huge thanks to the 61st Fighter Squadron, Nichole Ebner and all the Top Dogs for an amazing social! I certainly gained a little dance floor con-fidence!

I have a lot of reminders this month, so please help us get the word out on these things to ensure the continuing success of the LOSC. There are Board positions of all levels of responsibility for the 2015-2016 LOSC Board of Governors! If you, or someone you know, is considering a position, please let us know! LOSC Scholarships are available for military spouses, dependents and graduating high school seniors! The deadline for applications is March 20th. Please help spread the word about this great financial opportunity!

March’s social is open to all spouses - not just officer’s spouses - so please spread the word! Get ready to team up for a truly Amazing Race around Club 56 with lots of interesting clues and history about Club 56 and Luke at our March Social! I hope to see many new faces there!

Finally, we will be starting the planning process for volunteering at the Annual Fighter Country Partnership Golf Tournament in May. Please keep your eyes peeled for volunteer news and please join us in supporting one of the LOSC’s biggest supporters, Fighter Country Partnership, at their annual event.

Charitable Opportunities & AnnouncementsRonald McDonald House The 607th ACS (POC - Cindy Jones) has graciously offered to host the RMD Meal this month, set for Wednesday, February 18th. The RMD dinners feed between 40-50 people and we are currently providing meals every third month. So far it has been a success! Thank you to the 607th ACS for your generosity and support.

The LOSC maintains a room at the Roanoke House at the Phoenix Ronald McDonald House. The LOSC has an annual budget of $1000.00 to maintain this room. We have reached out to our POC to see what, or if any, updates are needed to make the room better. More to come on this.

Oasis Meals The 61st FS (POC - Nicole Ebner) will be providing the Oasis Meals this month, set for Saturday, March 14th. We reduced the number of people we feed from 40 to 30 and it’s working out great. Also, the Oasis Meal food drop-off location has moved to the Day Room. The Day Room is located on the ground floor of Building 636 and is across the street from the Post Office & F35 Train-ing Building.

Scholarship Fund A donation was made in the honor of Jane Davis from Kathleen Ryan in the amount of $50.00 to be added to the scholarship fund.
